How Much Money Is The Glove Horizonwothh

In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, weapon skins can be obtained in three ways: you can get them from cases, buy them from others, or craft them. Today, the CS.MONEY Blog is here to elaborate on the peculiarities of “Gaben’s yellow box” and find out which cases you should open first and foremost.

Most profitable cases in CS;GO

The math behind cases

There are dozens of cases in CS:GO. Some of them are linked to operations, while others simply appeared in the game along with new skin sets. Despite this diversity, all cases contain items in equal proportions.

After you open a hundred cases, you’ll have obtained about 80 Mil-Spec skins, about 16 Restricted skins, about 3 Classified skins, and only 1 Covert skin or rare item, i.e. a knife or a pair of gloves. This data was published by Valve and confirmed by the stats collected by the game’s community.

Important note: in contrast to other games with randomized item acquisition, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive offers no pity mechanics. Let’s illustrate this by way of example. In Genshin Impact, the 90th attempt to get a five-star character will always be successful. In CS:GO, even if you have opened nine hundred cases, you might end up without a single knife, a pair of gloves, or even, say, a USP-S The Traitor.

This leads us to the conclusion that there’s simply no way of opening a case profitably. Each key that you need to open a box costs $2.50. To stay “in the black,” you need to get relatively rare skins from your cases time after time.

If you’re still not convinced, 3kliksphilip posted a whole series of videos where he squanders thousands of virtual dollars in a case simulator in an attempt to get that coveted knife.

So, if you want an awesome knife or, say, an AK-47 Redline, you should just buy the desired item instead of spending funds on opening cases. You can do so on our website, which offers a bunch of handy filters and the best preview ever.

If you’re still willing to open cases no matter what, below are five boxes that are best suited for such ventures.

Operation Broken Fang Case

This case is attractive due to its low price — about 50 cents — and its great skins. It has only three skins for unpopular guns: Dual Berettas Dezastre, M249 Deep Relief, and G3SG1 Digital Mesh. Everything else is nothing short of amazing. And if you win this lottery and get a special item, it’ll be one of 24 new pairs of gloves.

CS20 Case

This case was dropped on October 18, 2019, and was dedicated to the anniversary of the Counter-Strike series. The box is pretty cheap: it costs as little as 20 cents on the Steam Marketplace. The insides are interesting for two reasons. First, there are some looks that induce a genuine and pure nostalgia. Second, the rare item of the case is the Classic Knife, which replicates the appearance of knives from previous installments of the series.

You can get this knife only from the CS20 case. So, if you get lucky, you’ll end up with an expensive and relatively rare knife in your possession. If not, you can sweeten the bitter pill of buyer’s remorse with the nostalgia emanating from the items.

Fracture Case

The Fracture Case contains fifty knives and almost twenty badass skins. This treasure-trove costs around 20 cents. A small reminder: opening each case requires a key, which costs $2.50.

Let’s start with the knives. The case holds the Nomad Knife, Paracord Knife, Skeleton Knife, and the Survival Knife, which are all relatively rare. Some specimens have a huge collector’s value. For instance, there are currently two copies of the StatTrak™ Skeleton Knife Crimson Web FN in the game. It’s the rarest knife imaginable, worth thousands of dollars.

While the rest of the skins in the case have no such value, they are still some of the coolest designs in the game. Just look at the AK-47 Legion of Anubis!

Glove Case

Another case with gloves. It was exactly in the Glove Case that these accessories first appeared in the game. Unfortunately, since that moment, the price of the case has seriously increased. Now, each of these yellow boxes costs at least $1.5 on the Steam Marketplace.

Nevertheless, it’s still the cheapest case with those gloves. The Operation Hydra Case, which also contains Bloodhound Gloves Snakebite, Hand Wraps Slaughter, and every other pair of gloves, costs at least $11 on the Marketplace.

So if you want gloves but don’t want to buy them for some reason, you should definitely check out the Glove Case.

Horizon Case

If you just want to open cases in an attempt to get yourself some flashy cool skins, you should start with the Horizon Case. First, the case is very cheap, its price amounting to around 10 cents. Second, it boasts some fantastic content: there are lots of eye-catching finishes for meta guns.

The bottom line, the Horizon Case is the perfect choice if you just want to open a couple of cases without spending too much on boxes.
