You should be able to pull a pair of gloves on fairly easily, and they should be tight enough so that they don’t fall off your hands as you are walking. If you find yourself having to squeeze your hands into a glove that feels too tight, then get a bigger pair.

If your fingers are really pressed up against the tips of the gloves, this can become painful if your hands get cold or you are wearing them all day long.

I like ski gloves that feel snug and packed with synthetic insulation, with my fingertips pretty close to the ends.

If you are ordering online, then measuring your hands and matching them to your glove’s dimensions is a sensible approach. Remember, though, that all brands are not the same, and just because one type of glove fits doesn’t mean another will.
