Crafting is another way to farm your equipment in Diablo 2. The ingredients you need are magic items, perfect gems, runes, and jewels. The created items will have a fixed option along with some extra ones, which — if crafted well — are a great worth.

Crafting can be categorized into four major options — caster, blood, hit power, and safety. Caster has mana-related options, blood has HP-related options, hit power has thorns effect and casting Frost Nova when hit, and safety has damage reduction options.

To craft your own item, you need to have the proper ingredients. For example, if you want to make a caster belt, you need a Perfect Amethyst, an Ith Rune, a Light/Sharkskin/Vampirefang belt, and a jewel. Once you put them in your Horadric Cube and mash them all up, you’ll gain an orange item with specific options.

Caster items are good for mages. The default options are mana and mana regen, and on belts or amulets, faster cast rate is also fixed, so it’s extremely useful.
