What do you make when you are down to the last minute? One thing I love to make is mittens – but when I’m down to the wire, I reach for this super easy pattern for fingerless gloves.

Design Story and Inspiration for the Easy Crochet Fingerless Gloves

I created this pattern as part of the Holiday Maker’s Challenge, an 8-week gifting marathon where we all work together to crochet as many gifts as possible for friends and family.

I wanted a pattern easy enough that a beginner could make them, but that would also be well-received as a gift and that could work up in a day!

These work up super fast. I actually made the second one for the video in just an hour! Be sure to check out the video tutorial if you need any help.

About the Yarn

I really love the Red Heart Colorscape yarn! I’ve used it for several projects and it works up well and the color changes are gorgeous.

You can see the color changes in these mitts and I didn’t have to do any color changes or weave in extra ends!

This is a worsted weight yarn that can be substituted for any worsted yarn you have in your stash. Use up that stash for the Holiday Challenge, then you have an excuse to go buy more yarn. 😀
