Gather Your Supplies

This pattern was written and tested for Paintbox Simply Aran and Lion Brand Heartland yarn.

If you choose to substitute yarn for this project, I recommend using a worsted weight yarn and check your gauge.

  • 6.5 mm Crochet Hook (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Gauge

15 sts x 8.5 rows = 4″ worked in double crochet

Approximately 10.5″ from middle finger tip to edge of wrist band; approximately 9″ hand circumference

This is equivalent to a men’s M/L

These crochet gloves are worked from the band to fingertips. The wrist and hand are worked in one piece and the fingers are added separately in a seamless fashion.

The glove is the same on both sides so there are no instructions for right and left-handed gloves. Just create two with the same instructions.

To help you keep track of the increases, I recommend you use two stitch markers in one color for the thumb gusset and two more stitch markers in a different color for the hand increases.

You will notice this pattern uses a chain 2 at the beginning of the rounds to count as a double crochet rather than 3. This is because two chains are a better height and the joins are cleaner.

This pattern was written for the Made With Love | Crochet Challenge for Warm Up America 2019. Participants are encouraged to use as many colors as they want in any stripe or color block pattern. Because this is the recommendation, there are no instructions for yarn color included in this pattern.

You’re welcome to make them however you like!

Then pair the marker in the 12th stitch with the 21st stitch. Pair the marker in the 8th stitch with the 24th stitch and pair the marker in the 4th stitch with the 28th stitch.
