Sizing a glove and blocker is arguably the easiest to do as there are not many options to adjust how they sit on the hand. The feel of a glove or blocker is usually more important than the fit, as most of the time the fit is fairly standard from brand to brand. The biggest thing to look out for is the coverage of the glove and the chest protector together, as you do not want any wrist area showing when the glove or blocker are on with the chest protector.
In terms of the actual fit of the hand, the goalie should be able to have their hand in the glove or blocker without it being so loose that it falls off, or feel like it may fall off. It should also not be so tight that the goalie struggles to put their hand in the blocker or glove. There are some small adjustments that can be made to tighten or loosen the internals to help the hand sit better, but this offers minimal adjustment potential.
One thing to be careful of, is to not try and go for a bigger glove or blocker for the sake of extra coverage. This can lead to the glove or blocker being too big or too heavy for the goalie and will actually negatively affect performance and potentially protection, especially when it comes to gloves. A glove that is too big will be harder to close and could result in it falling off from a hard shot.

If there is an issue with a hand being too small for a certain size of glove, but the size smaller offers less protection than what is needed, manufacturers do sometimes have the options to customize a glove with a different palm size, such as a senior glove with intermediate sized internals.
