How To Make A Dildo With A Glove

Although there are companies like Empire Labs creating “Clone a Willy” kits which allow a fella to (crudely) make a silicone replica of his Johnson, these dildo-molding kits are kind of crude and tricky to follow. Also, you need to have a penis in order to use them. What if you want to create a custom dildo from scratch, crafting the perfect shape, color, and aesthetic to suit your desires? Dildo DIY

Over at the Sex Toy Collective, as well as writing fleshlight reviews and making lube guides, we also have a free video course called “Dildo University” where we show you how to make your own dildo at home from scratch. I’m not going to lie, this isn’t a straightforward 30-minute sort of process – you need a fair amount of time and equipment to make your own dildo at a high standard. Nonetheless, if you’re a sex geek looking for a fun weekend project, making your own dildo is perfect. The free video series is hosted by Brandie, also known as “Mermaid Brandie”. Brandie is a self-confessed Sex Geek who has tons of experience cooking up sex toys of all shapes and sizes.

For each section, Brandie goes into detail about all the materials you need and how long the process will take. Brandie clearly demonstrates all the steps on-screen, making it easy for you to follow along at home.

The course has 5 different sections so far, but is an ongoing thing with many more videos on the way! Part 1 – Sculpting the dildo model Before you can do anything else, you need to sculpt your dildo model. Brandie advises using clay to create your model. She shows you how to sculpt the basic shape for your dildo and how to attach it to a base (this is especially necessary for strap-ons/anal). Next, Brandie shows you how to smooth the surface and carve out any details you might want such as twists and veins details. This clay model will serve as the basis for the rest of the steps, so it’s important to get it right!

Part 2 – How to make a block mold In this episode, Brandie shows you how to make a block mold with various pieces of equipment including a cardboard box, silicone, and those red party cups you always see in movies. She also uses a cheap pressure chamber to speed up the process, though you don’t necessarily have to use one. We acknowledge that most people don’t have a spare pressure chamber just lying around. This is just one of the potential molds you can make for a DIY dildo – the other being a glove mold, which we’ll cover next. Depending on the style of your dildo and how crafty you are, one mold style may be preferable to another for you. Personally, I think that a glove mold is slightly easier.

Part 3 – How to make a glove mold

In this episode, Brandie shows you how to make a glove mold. Glove molds are more typically used for DIY dildo creation, but you need to follow the instructions carefully because the silicone used for this process starts to dry and cure within 2-5 minutes. For this process, Brandie uses a soda can and Ecoflex rubber which is commonly used for molding prosthetics for TV and stage productions. By the end of the tutorial, you’ll have a soft silicone cast which is flexible enough to be turned inside out without breaking.

Part 4 – Casting a dual-density dildo

Here Brandie shows you how to cast a dual-density dildo. “Dual-density” means that the inside core of the dildo is firmer and stiffer than the exterior of the dildo. This means that the end product won’t be as bendy and flexible. Dual-density is perfect for creating dildos that have a little “give” to them but stay stiff overall. Brandie uses 2 different colors of silicone for the core and the exterior, but you can use whatever colors and silicone products you like so long as they’re safe and stable! I mean, unless the dildo snaps in half, you’re never going to see what color the core is anyway.

She talks you through various body-safe pigments you can use, such as SlicPig and Fuse Effects. Each pigment color/style lends itself to different styles and aesthetics of dildo. There are dozens of finishes you can try, but Brandie talks you through techniques such as color fading and swirling marble effects. Of course, you don’t NEED to do any of these advanced effects, but they sure do look fancy. Why not make a dildo you can be proud of? Some of these sex toys are good enough to go in The Louvre.

How is this course free? All of our reviews, videos, and blog posts at the Sex Toy Collective are 100% free of charge and they always will be. If you buy sex toys through our website, we will sometimes get a small commission through affiliation links, but that’s about it. We are a small team of sex toy enthusiasts and sex-positive people who enjoy teaching people about the ins and outs of sex toys, whether you’re interested in buying one or creating them from scratch! Are DIY dildos safe? If you make them with the 100% platinum-cure silicone we show in our guide, then yes, DIY dildos are totally safe for internal and external use. Of course, regular dildo safety rules apply – don’t use a dildo in your anus and then move it straight to your vagina, et cetera. Also, bear in mind that if you’re planning on using the DIY dildo anally, you NEED to create a strong flared base which stops the toy from slipping up inside you. Brandie covers this in the first episode of Dildo University, and there are plenty more tips and tricks along the way. clone a willy, empire labs, dildo marbling, Dildos, dildo mold, dildo university, dildo cast, Sex Toy Collective, female orgasm, orgasmic lifestyle, venus o
