My personal preference for golf gloves is cabretta leather and that is all I use and I’m very picky about the condition of a golf glove when I go to reuse it. So much so that I keep at least 2 brand new gloves in my bag at all times and if a previously used glove feels stiff & crusty or stretched from previous golf sessions, it went in the garbage and out came a new glove from my bag.
After realizing how much I’ve been spending on golf gloves this year and only getting 2 or 3 rounds of golf on them, I decided I would do a little research and see if there’s a way to rejuvenate them or somehow make them last longer.

What I discovered is that I’m not alone in my quest for making a golf glove last longer, but the only ideas or suggestions I could find on this topic was to wash the sweat out and most responses to that suggestion were not good and most stated the glove shrunk or dried out and got even more crusty.

Since it appeared that nobody else has found a solution or at least shared a solution to the old crusty glove, I did a little experimenting and found what I would say is the ultimate long life rejuvenator for golf gloves and allows me to at least double the amount of use with the same glove.
Here are the not so secret steps to rejuvenate your golf glove…
1. Rinse that stinky crusty glove and if it’s extra crusty & stinking use s little dish soap.

2. Let it air dry for several hours. Occasionally put the glove on your hand while it’s still drying to avoid shrinkage.
3. Once that old glove has finally dried, more than likely it will be even more hard & crusty than before you washed it. Before you get pissed at me for making your glove worse, you need to try step 4.
4. Rub coconut oil into the glove. Rub it on your glove hand and slide your hand into the glove. Also, rub the coconut oil all areas of the outer leather and repeat as many times as necessary until the leather is as soft as new.
5. You now have an old glove that is useable. You’re welcome!
