How to sew cleansing gloves with Oeko Tex Micro Sponge Fabric?

Making DIY make-up glove is a breeze! Perfect for a beginner sewing project, discover in this step by step how to sew a glove and a washable square with a bamboo viscose micro-sponge fabric certified Oeko Tek . No more cottons, this DIY sewing will allow you to take a step closer to zero waste with our range of sponge fabrics .
This tutorial requires the use of a sewing machine and an iron as needed.
Step 1 : After downloading and printing the template ( Click here ). Cut out the glove template on micro-sponge fabric.
2nd step : Cut a skew length of the glove size, then pin the open bias right side up.
Step 3: Stitch the bias to the micro-sponge fabric following the fold of it.
Step 4: Turn the bias on the back of the fabric and pin it to cover the seam. Make a seam by hand for a clean finish.

Step 5: Stitch the glove right side up to 0.5mm from the edge to finish the assembly. Be careful that the fabric does not move, to have a clean rounded.
Your glove is now finished.
Little more: If you still have bias, you can add a handle before step 5 to be able to suspend your glove.
Step 1 : Cut out the following pieces to make your square Oeko Tex micro sponge fabric.
A: with the fabric of your choice: 10 * 10 cm
B: in micro-sponge fabric: 10 * 10 cm
C: with the fabric of your choice that will serve you as a handle: 4 * 10cm
D: with the fabric of your choice that will serve you as a handle: 4 * 10cm
Feel free to iron the fabric you have chosen if it is not ironed.
2nd step : To make the handle, pin your C & D pieces of fabric right side up and then stitch 0.5mm from the edge.
Step 3: Go to the installation by putting the pieces of fabric as in the picture below. Make sure the handle is in the center of your square.
Step 4: Stitch all the pieces. Do not forget to leave a few inches unsewn to return your work.
Step 5: Once your sewing back, make an invisible seam when opening for finishing.
Your makeup remover square made of bamboo micro-sponge fabric is now complete.
