They slough off dead skin and clear your pores when used as part of your regular shower routine.

How To Use Exfoliating Bath Gloves

There are three simple but very effective ways to use exfoliating gloves.

  1. For bathing
  2. Skin exfoliation with foaming scrubs, and
  3. To get rid of strawberry skin

1. How to bathe with exfoliating gloves

Exfoliating gloves and soap bar

  • First, wear your bathing gloves, turn on your shower, and get your skin wet. Here are my favorite scrubbing gloves. They’re not too hard or soft, just the right coarseness for my skin.
  • Next, pick up your soap bar and rub it all over your body.
  • Then put the soap down and exfoliate your whole body with the bath gloves.
  • Use your fingertips to wash your outer ears and also behind them.
  • Also, make sure to wash behind your thighs too.
  • If you want to use exfoliating gloves on your face, rinse them thoroughly.
  • Then use some soap or face wash and scrub your face gently.
  • Rinse your body under the shower.
  • Your skin would be refreshed and invigorated.
  • Then moisturize immediately.
  • Tiny soap hack: if you have a small flat piece of soap, put it inside the scrub glove, and squeeze your palm to crush it. Doing this, you’d use every last bit of your soap.

  • Next, pat or rub the shower gel all over your body to spread it so you get a very foaming bath time.
  • Once that is done, you can scrub your body with exfoliating gloves.
  • Take more shower gel if needed.
  • Then rinse when you are done.
  • Again, don’t forget to lotion your body afterward.

2. For skin exfoliation with a foamy scrub

There are two ways to use exfoliating gloves with soapy scrubs.

  1. You can use the body scrub with a foaming scrub after a shower. Just scoop or squeeze some foaming exfoliant into your wet bath gloves and exfoliate your skin thoroughly. Then rinse it off entirely.
  2. If you are in a hurry and need to exfoliate your skin, you can do it right away with your exfoliating gloves and a soapy scrub. So instead of exfoliating after a shower, you’d use the foaming scrub with your shower gloves to wash and slough dead skin simultaneously. Rinse your body after, then follow with moisturizers.

3. To get rid of strawberry skin with baking soda

Suppose you have strawberry skin on your thighs or butt.

In that case, you can gently reduce the appearance by exfoliating with body scrubber gloves and baking soda.

Follow the steps below.

  • After a shower with the bathing gloves, rinse, but don’t take them off yet.
  • Then pat your skin with a towel but keep it damp.
  • Next, scoop a good amount of baking soda with your wet gloves and scrub your thighs and butt cheeks with intent.
  • Let it sit for several minutes (it would sting a little) before rinsing off thoroughly.
  • Then wash and hang your exfoliating gloves.
  • Dry and moisturize the exfoliated areas well to prevent drying.
  • Do this once or twice a week, and you’d notice an improvement as time goes by.

When I had strawberry skin, I used this method once a week until it faded.

How to wash exfoliating gloves

  • After using exfoliating gloves, rinse them with warm running water.
  • You can use extra soap if you like, then hang them to dry.
  • Then once a week, throw it in the washer for thorough washing to kill lingering bacteria.
  • Never mind, the washing machine doesn’t distort the shape or material of your exfoliating gloves.

Now let’s talk about the shower gloves benefits.

Exfoliating Gloves Benefits

Exfoliating gloves wash your skin better.

One of the most common benefits of using exfoliating gloves is that they wash your skin deeper than only soap and water.

And you’d feel clean after bathing with them.

They also remove dead skin.

Exfoliating gloves scrub off the dirt and dead skin.

Which may help reduce chest and back acne.

Exfoliating gloves help improve skin’s texture.

Using exfoliating gloves daily invigorates your skin and encourages blood flow.

Which makes the skin glow naturally.

Using exfoliating gloves unclogs your pores to absorb moisturizers.

What good is moisturizing your skin if your pores are clogged?

Dunno.

Exfoliating gloves remove flaky, dry skin and open your pores to absorb moisturizers.

You can use bath gloves with foaming scrubs to quickly exfoliate and wash your skin when you’re in a hurry.

So no worries about not getting clean showers because you were dashing out.

Exfoliating bath gloves are easy to use.

Unlike washcloths, scrubbing gloves are easy to use.

All you have to do is put them on, add some soap, wash your body, rinse, and go.

Easy to clean

Also, shower gloves are made from nylon material.

Some scrub gloves have loops for easy hanging and drying after use.

They’re affordable

Lastly, exfoliating gloves are affordable, and they last long until you get tired and toss them.

FAQs About How To Use Exfoliating Gloves

I use mine daily, except rarely when I don’t feel like it.

Otherwise, you can use bathing gloves every day.

And no, they won’t hurt your skin. At least the shower gloves never hurt mine.

Also, make sure you moisturize your skin after using them.

Are bathing gloves good for your face?

I use exfoliating gloves on my face and have no problems with them.

But be gentle when washing your face with scrub gloves, especially around your nose and eye areas.

And you don’t have to use them on your face every day.

So maybe every other day.

Can you put exfoliating gloves in the washing machine?

Yes, you can throw your bathing gloves in the washing machine once weekly with your laundry.

And you can also dry it in the dryer or hang it in the shower to dry naturally.

Do you use soap with exfoliating gloves?

Yes, of course, you should use exfoliating gloves with soap.

Someone argued that soap makes exfoliating gloves too slippery to scrub your skin.

But that’s untrue.

Using soap with exfoliating gloves cleanses your skin while also sloughing off dead skin.

Don’t believe me? Try this.

Plug your drain when taking a shower with exfoliating gloves and soap.

After rinsing your body, step aside, and you’d see the dead skin and dirt collect with the soap lather.

That’s how you know you’re cleaning and exfoliating your body well.

Can you use exfoliating gloves for ingrown hair?

Unfortunately, exfoliating gloves alone cannot get rid of ingrown hairs.

Instead, choose waxing or sugaring hair removal over shaving or depilatory creams.

Because sugar waxing pulls the hair from the root and encourages thinner hair growth.

So the odds of having bumps or ingrown hairs are low.

Here’s a post on how to make your sugar wax.

Another way to prevent ingrown hairs is by regularly exfoliating the affected areas with homemade or drugstore exfoliants.

  • .A quick tip: If your underarms are itchy, it could signify ingrown hairs and bumps.
  • So what you can do is scrub them with Epsom salt. It cleans and unclogs the skin, stops the itch, and then the hairs can grow easily.
  • Don’t scratch itchy underarms and private areas. I repeat, don’t! Scratching hurts the skin and makes the problem worse.

Boom! Exfoliating Gloves, How To Use Them

Now you know how to use exfoliating gloves, their benefits, and how to wash them.

Are you going to try a pair?

Remember to start with the softest pair of exfoliating gloves and walk your way up as your skin gets used to them.
