What Bra Size Is Dolly Parton

With 25 songs topping the Billboard country charts and a staggering 44 Top 10 country albums, Dolly Parton is among the most honored female performers of her era.

And while her songs and other business ventures have resulted in riches beyond her wildest dreams, the Tennessee native has also been known through the years for her ample bust, which rumor has it, have been insured during her storied career.

Now, after helping perpetuate those well-chronicled rumors, the singer-songwriter is setting the record straight about her famous body parts.

During an appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna on Wednesday, the Jolene star finally addressed whether or not her breasts are actually insured.

‘It’s not true,’ Parton confessed, before explaining how all the talk surrounding her ample assets all got started.

‘Years ago, was it [actress] Betty Grable, or one of the great famous stars that was famous also for her legs? At that time, I said ‘Well maybe I should get my boobs insured since I’m famous for them.”

She went on to add that ‘it was just a joke. I didn’t do that.’

In keeping with her famous sense of humor, Parton shared, ‘You can get new boobs but you can’t get new legs!’

The I Will Always Love You songstress previously shared about some of the other talk that has perpetuated over the years about her bosoms.

‘I always laugh at them,’ she told People magazine in September 2020, adding that one story had her ‘bedridden because my boobs are so heavy that I’m crippled for life on my back.

She went on to admit: ‘I just laugh. Well, they are heavy, but they haven’t crippled me yet.’

Parton, who grew up the fourth of twelve children in a one-bedroom cabin, first gained prominence as a songwriter for other artists in the 1960s. But she eventually decided to record a solo album of her own, Hello, I’m Dolly (1967), which spawned two Top 40 hits: Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy.

From there, the country crooner has gone on to release 65 studio albums, 48 of them solo efforts, if you include her upcoming release: Run, Rose, Run, slated to drop on March 4, through her own Butterfly Records. It is a companion album to the novel of the same name written by Parton and James Patterson.
