What Herbs Are In Jagermeister

Jagermeister, meaning “Master Hunter” in German, is a bittersweet liqueur made from more than 50 natural ingredients such as citrus peel, licorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries, and ginseng. Jagermeister Herbal Liqueur was created in 1934 by German father and son team, Wilhelm and Curt Mast, and also includes various other spices like clove, coriander, and cinnamon, as well as herbs, fruits, and wood barks. To produce the popular herbal liqueur, the ingredients used undergo a special treatment process, with some being soaked in alcohol, while the rest are distilled before being carefully combined.

Globally renowned for its medicinal value, Jagermeister has become much more than a traditional after-meal digestive aid. It is also now a drink with mass appeal that is synonymous with nightclubs, parties, and festivals. A drink unlike any other, Jagermeister’s Herbal Liqueur is in a league of its own.
