All-State Band Auditions
Q: What is All-State Band?
You are viewing: What Is All County
A: The band is made up of students from all over Florida. They audition for the band in September. If selected students will come together and rehearse in January in Tampa. The 2 days of rehearsals end with a concert for parents and music educators of Florida.
Q: Who conducts the band?
A: The students will be conducted by a guest conductor selected form outstanding educators throughout the US.
Q: How do I audition?
A: The music comes out in the spring. Students should work on the music all summer. Students should sign up for a practice time when school starts in August. Students will be asked to play the music plus scales and sight-read.
Q: Why should I audition?
A: Students will receive one on one instruction with the director. They will have the opportunity to perform with students from all over the state. Students will get a chance to see and hear other bans perform. Most importantly this experience will give them new insights into music thus making our band program better.

A: The band is made up of students from all over Lee County. They audition for the band in late October. If selected students will come together and rehearse in December. The 2 days of rehearsals end with a concert (high school students also participate All-County bands).
