Some people are weird, and others are even weirder than their seemingly “normal” friends. Being the weirdest member of a group doesn’t mean you’re not beautiful, it means you’re unique.

In addition to being described as amazing and beautiful by my friends and family, I can probably guess that they would also call me weird — which I would attribute directly to my zodiac sign, Aquarius.

People — like me — are described as weird for a lot of different reasons, mainly because “weird” is a word that has a lot of different meaning.

One of the most common reasons being that someone is just funny or quirky in a weird way; you like things a certain way and if people don’t like the fact that you put your socks in order by color, well then they can just call you strange. Another reason why people tend to be described as weird because they’re not always all there if you get what I mean.

Maybe they had an especially long experimental phase in college or they’ve just been that kooky kid since kindergarten, but I guess when you’re weird you do weird things. You’re kind of always weird, you know what I mean?

Ever asked yourself, “Am I normal?” We’ve all been there. I know, without sharing the most embarrassing parts of my childhood (which were all the time, by the way — I’m a very embarrassing person), that I have probably always been that weird kid.

And, of course, being an Aquarius probably helps me out a lot with that eccentric personality.

But, I like being weird. It means I don’t always have to explain why I do the strange things I do every time I do them – expect to my mom who, for who knows what reason at this point, is always looking at me with curiosity. I’m allowed to be weird, mom, stop looking at me like that.

But even as someone who is totally, utterly weird sometimes, I can still notice when others are quirky, too – probably because of the thing I said earlier about everyone being weird for different reasons.

All in all, I think being weird is what makes people unique and creative. Think of it this way: all of the artists and musicians and celebrities who are considered weird have probably made an impact on the world (and you), right?

Even if it wasn’t always for a good reason — like Charlie Sheen — you definitely remember them, even if you end your sentences about them with, “That was totally weird of him, wasn’t it?”

My point is, I think you should always let your freak flag fly because that’s what makes you, you – even if not everyone can handle you. Of course, you might be more receptive to other people’s freaky weirdness if you yourself are a little odd, too.

Not only do I welcome my fellow Aquarians to be their strange selves, but any other zodiac sign who wants to, too.

Of course, not all zodiac signs feel the same way. And depending on what your horoscope says about you, you might just be one of those people who either doesn’t like being weird or just isn’t weird in the slightest (which is fine, too).
