I thought it would be a fun series to answer some burning questions I get from followers in my messages. One topic this week was what are the best shoes to wear with cropped denim. I pretty much crop all my denim as I’m petite so they are definitley a favorite denim style for me. They are probably the most shoe friendly of all the jeans as they go with so many styles of shoes. Here are 6 shoes that I love to wear with cropped jeans.

Also, I do cut my jeans. The key to making them look flattering with your shoes is to cut where at least 1 inch of your ankle is exposed. The top of the shoe should NEVER touch the bottom of the jean.

Low top sneakers are easily one of the best shoes to wear with cropped jeans. From Adidas, to Nike to P448 or Golden Goose pretty much any style will work.

The only style that gets a little tricky with cropped denim are ankle boots. I prefer a super low ankle boot to make sure the jean doesn’t hit the top of the boot. These 2 styles in particular are super low and work best.

One of my absolute favorite pairs of shoes to wear with cropped jeans. Let’s be honest – my favorite style of shoe to wear with pretty much anything! As long as your jeans are a true crop then this style of sneaker will look flattering.

Platforms are a great style and another that looks good with almost any denim style. They just elongate the leg so nicely.

New Balance are the best shoes to wear with cropped jeans if you want to add a sporty look to your denim.

Finally, mules and loafters also are some of the best shoes to wear with cropped jeans. As long as your crop isn’t too short these should nicely for the office. I just personally don’t like when too much ankle is exposed on such a low profile shoe. But if your jeans are a longer crop then this option just looks clean and classic.
