When Are Property Taxes Due In 2023

The first half of 2023 Real Property Taxes are due by 5:00 p.m. on or before Thursday November 30, 2023, if taxes on property qualifying under the property tax assistance program provided for in MCA 15-6-305, are paid within 20 calendar days of the date on which the taxes are due, then the taxes may be paid without penalties or interest. Unless the first half is paid by this date, the amount payable is delinquent and draws interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% a month from and after the delinquency until paid and 2% must be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty pursuant to (MCA 15-16-102). Please review your tax bill for the proper due date.

Payments can be made to the Butte-Silver Bow County Treasurer at 155 West Granite Street, Room 206, Butte, Montana 59701. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday except Holidays. Payments may be made by check or money order to P O Box 611, Butte, Montana 59703, or pay online on the Butte-Silver Bow website at https://itax.tylerapp.com/ButteSilverBowMT/, Visa, MasterCard, Discover & eCheck are accepted. Taxpayers may also pay at the Butte-Silver Bow Treasurer’s office located at 155 West Granite Street Room 206, acceptable forms of payment are as well as Check, Money Order, Cash & Credit/Debit Card.
