When Did It End Although Enjoyment

Fans have been going wild for the Barbie movie and its breakout single, “What Was I Made For?” all summer long. But one woman’s unique rendition of the Billie Eilish song has gone so viral that it’s now become a new TikTok meme.

According to The Tab, it all started when the Georgia-based singer-songwriter Tessa Smith (@queenziel0ctthevoice) uploaded a TikTok duet with fellow singer Emma White (@officialemmawhite). In it, Smith belts out the lyrics to the song with passion and intensity, beginning with the line, “All the enjoyment.”

But as the duet quickly gained views, it wasn’t long before many users noticed that the way Smith sings “all the enjoyment” sounds a lot like “although enjoyment.” And while that doesn’t exactly make sense, it doesn’t seem to matter.

The original clip has over 67,000 views and has been remixed and parodied countless times on TikTok. As a result, Smith has now earned the unofficial nickname of the “Although Enjoyment Lady” — and it’s pretty clear that TikTok can’t get enough of her.

“I love this woman,” wrote @krissiemaekpop in the caption of their TikTok.

“I cannot listen to the actual song anymore, this one seems like the original now,” @elleholmesxx commented.

“Me as a DJ,” wrote TikTok user @tkyle in the text of another meme, which features a remix of Smith singing “all the enjoyment” over an image of Real Housewife Luanne de Lesseps DJing.

So far, people seem to be genuinely loving Smith’s rendition of the song, and her enthusiasm. But it’s the remixes that people can’t seem to get out of their heads.

In the comments, people have said the remixes “slay,” while others admit they’re “obsessed” and can’t get them out of their heads.

“Unexpected bop of the year,” @joesinthevan3 commented in response to T. Kyle’s TikTok.
