Oct. 19, 2015: Jamell Demons, aka YNW Melly, then 16, was arrested after police said he fired a gun near Vero Beach High School. Demons was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a firearm in public.

March 2017: Demons released “Murder on my Mind” as a single on SoundCloud before it was added to his album “I AM YOU.”

June 30, 2018: Demons was arrested in Lee County on drugs and firearms charges.

Aug. 3, 2018: YNW Melly published the music video for “Murder on my Mind” on YouTube.

Oct. 26, 2018: Two young rappers from the Treasure Coast were shot and killed in South Florida, according to the Miramar Police Department.

Christopher Thomas Jr., aka YNW Juvy, 19, of Gifford, and Anthony Williams, aka YNW Sakchaser, 21, of Fort Pierce, both were driven to Memorial Hospital Miramar about 4:35 a.m. that morning, police said. They were already dead.

Demons’ mom said she got pregnant at 14 and gave birth in ninth grade.

Feb. 13:YNW Melly turned himself in to Miramar police and also was arrested on charges of premeditated murder.

Feb. 14: Broward County Judge Jackie Powell ordered both Demons and Henry held without bail, and also instructed them not to contact each other, according to the Sun Sentinel.
