When Did Sam Poop

If members of Bachelor Nation stayed up extra late on Thursday night to watch a delayed episode of Bachelor in Paradise, I can assume it wasn’t to see who walked down the stairs or whose relationships grew stronger — it was to find out if Sam Jeffries pooped before sunrise.

Though Season 9, Episode 3 saw its fair share of beach drama, love triangles, and steamy hookups, talk of Sam’s bowel movements, the fact that she hadn’t pooped in nine days, and a potential surgical delivery of what on-call ER physician Dr. Kelly Tenbrink called “a poo baby” fully dominated the two hours of television. After laxatives, stool softeners, and a targeted diet didn’t work, Dr. Tenbrink gave Sam until sunrise to poop, and if she wasn’t able to relieve herself, he strongly suggested returning home to the U.S. for more drastic measures.

Paradise producers popped a countdown to sunrise in the corner of our screens, and Sam’s Paradise crush Aaron S. did everything he could to help her move her bowels, but Episode 3 ended on a crappy cliffhanger. What happened to Sam on Bachelor in Paradise? Did she ever poop?! Here’s everything we know (too much) about this woman’s constipation.

What Happened To Sam On Bachelor in Paradise?

Paradise opened by recapping Sam’s crappy situation and getting right to the point. “It has been 9 days and 23 hours since Sam last pooped. If she has not pooped by sunrise she must leave Paradise,” title cards read. We watched Sam dramatically walk the beach at 5:27 a.m. with less than an hour remaining until sunrise. Everyone on the beach was invested in her intestines, but unfortunately, the sun rose before she hit the toilet, so the doctor returned and stole her away from her “Prospective Poop Daddy,” Aaron.

“Day 10. It’s double digits,” he told cameras. “They say love conquers all but for Sam I guess that’s not true.” Brutal, dude!

Sam told her fellow cast mates she had to head home and thanked everyone for being so supportive. After a tearful goodbye, she left the beach. But did she ever poop?!

Did Sam Ever Poop On Bachelor in Paradise?

Later in Episode 4, Jesse Palmer arrived in Paradise ahead of the rose ceremony and gave the cast an update on Sam. “She has not pooped yet. She’s doing OK, but there’s been no movement with respect to that just yet,” he said.

In a post-mortem interview, Paradise bartender Wells Adams told Entertainment Weekly that he feels so bad for Sam, but didn’t offer updates either. “People have left Paradise for a myriad of reasons in the past, but this is a pretty crappy one!” he said. “Do I know if she did or didn’t poop? Yes. But I don’t think I’m at liberty to say. My butt is shut… sorry, my mouth is shut. I guess you gotta keep watching.”

While Paradise is stringing out the poo baby storyline a bit longer, Sam recently gave followers a glimpse at her trip to Madagascar with Paradise‘s Blake Moynes, so it’s clear she’s alive, which means she’s definitely pooped since Paradise. OBVIOUSLY!

And in case you had any doubt, Sam caught up with Jimmy Kimmel to let the world know she has, in fact, gone Number 2 since arriving home. “I don’t want to brag or anything but I’ve pooped several times,” Sam, The New Face of American Constipation, told Kimmel.

Now that we’ve confirmed Sam relieved herself, will she be returning to the beach for another shot at love with Aaron S? Only time will tell. New episodes of Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 air on Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. on ABC. Next-day streaming is available on Hulu.
