When Do Episodes Of Gen V Release

If you, like Martin Scorsese and have personal beef with the Marvel universe for not delivering enough true-to-life stories, then I have the show for you. Gen V is the newest Amazon Prime superhero show that imagines what would happen if superheroes lived among us and did normal human things like… go to college.

Gen V follows Marie Moreau as she starts her new life at Goldolkin University, a college designed for superheroes (known in the show as “supes”) to hone their powers and learn how to fight crime. BTW, the new Prime show is actually a spin-off of The Boys, a raunchy series about superheroes who go rogue and use their “good” powers for other things (Read: awful atrocities).

So far, Gen V has released four episodes of its first season, and there is a lot to take in (on top of the entire show that is its prequel).

If you’ve already dived into the show, or simply want to know more about what’s coming down the pipeline, look no further. Women’s Health has all the deets on Gen V, and when to expect new episodes (or should I say ‘sodes?)

Where can I watch Gen V?

Ah, yes! The most important question. Gen V is an Amazon Prime Video show, which means you can get your shopping and superhero fix in one place.

New episodes come out every Friday at 12 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). For non-Brits, that means you can expect it around 7 p.m. ET on Thursdays.

What’s happened so far?

So much. Gen V is supposed to take place sometime between The Boys season 3 and season 4, according to Collider. Fans of the original series will immediately notice details referenced in the spin-off show, but it isn’t necessarily a required watch to understand the premise.

In Gen V episode 1, audiences meet Marie Moreau, who is a “blood bender.” Basically, this means she can use her own blood as a weapon. In a tragic back story (which the viewers see in the first episode), Marie discovers her power after accidentally killing her parents when she gets her first period.

Flash forward a few years later, and orphaned Marie worships The Seven, the idealized version of superheroes that the public is supposed to believe in, and is overjoyed to be accepted at Godolkin University—which is run by Vought International, the same corporation who manages The Seven.

However, in reality, The Seven is not what it seems (as you’ll know if you’ve seen The Boys)—and Vought is more of an evil corporation than a good one. Upon arriving at Godolkin, Marie realizes that things are…pretty weird.

She quickly makes friends with other supes—including characters Jordan, Emma, and Sam—and together, they try to figure out what’s going on in the mysterious “Woods” below the school. Along the way, the crew makes plenty of other discoveries about their classmates and teachers, too.

Who stars in Gen V?

Another great thing about Gen V is the well of new, lesser-known actors who make up the show. Here’s a who’s who for the cast:

  • Marie Moreau—Jaz Sinclair (also known for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)
  • Emma Meyer-Lizze Broadway
  • Andre Anderson—Chance Perdomo
  • Jordan Li—London Thor, Derek Luh
  • Cate Dunlap—Maddie Phillips
  • Golden Boy—Patrick Schwarzenegger
  • Sam—Asa German
  • Indira Shetty—Shelley Conn
