When is Guardian Games 2024: Schedule

Bungie has confirmed that Guardian Games 2024 will take place in March 2024 and will be available to all players for free. Expect Guardian Games to start shortly after the release of the final Riven Wish on March 5, 2024.

Guardian Games will start on Tuesday March 19 or 26, at 9 AM PDT
Guardian Games ends on the following Tuesday at 9 AM PDT

Guardian Games is a yearly event that is open to all players. It pits every class against each other, Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks, but only one class can emerge victorious. Featuring exclusive mechanics and game modes, Guardian Games is perhaps the biggest event in Destiny 2.

Guardian Games is a continuously evolving event. It first appeared in 2020 in a quite bare-bones state, but every year it receives major updates, improvements, and new game modes. This time around, Guardian Games will feature the following:

The Guardian Games Ops Playslit, featuring Strike Scoring and every available Strike
The Guardian Games Ops Competitive playlist, featuring a weekly strike that operates as a Nightfall
The Supremacy PvP game mode

These three exclusive Playlists offer matchmaking and the option to matchmake by class.

How to win the Guardian Games?

Guardian Games follows the same core mechanics as in previous years. Each Guardian must earn and deposit Medallions every day. The class with the most Medallions is crowned the winner of the day. The class with the most days won is crowned the event winner.

What I like about Guardian Games is that you don’t have to play its exclusive Playlist. Every activity in the game will reward Medallions:

Bronze and Silver Medallions drop from lower-tier activities: Gambit, Quickplay Crucible, the Vanguard playlists, and most Neptune activities and Defiant Battlegrounds.
Gold and Platinum Medallions drop from high-tier activities: Nightfalls, raids, dungeons, Competitive Crucible, Trials of Osiris, or Legend Defiant Battlegrounds.

Guardians can also purchase Contender and Platinum Cards that reward Gold and Platinum Medallions, respectively.

How to enter Guardian Games 2024

To enter the Guardian Games event, you simply need to visit Eva Levante, the main host for the event, at the Tower. She will provide you with a quest and your Guardian Games Class item, which will play a central role throughout the event. If you’re new, don’t worry, Guardian Games is a straightforward event, and Eva’s quest explains the different mechanics well.
