When Do Orioles Playoff Tickets Go On Sale

The general public can purchase single-game tickets for Orioles postseason games, thoughit’s not yet clear when the team will play at Camden Yards during the playoffs, or who it will be playing.

The single-game tickets that went up Thursday are for each of 10 possible home games through the American League Championship Series, and are limited to six tickets per buyer. When the Orioles play and who they will face in the playoffs depends on how the next few weeks shake out. The cost of tickets for games that aren’t played will be automatically refunded within two to three weeks of the end of the postseason, according to the Orioles’ website

Earlier this month, you either had to be a season ticket holder or to have committed to becoming one to get tickets to the playoffs.

Those with 2023 season ticket packages received information earlier in the month on how to get their postseason passes. Diamond and black-level ticket holders had to either pay for their membership in full or make a partial payment by Sept. 15 to get access.

Those with the more budget-friendly season ticket packages, Reserved Orange and Flex Birdland Members, received information this week on how to get their single-game postseason tickets.

While the Orioles lead the American League East, the Tampa Bay Rays could overtake them during the remaining regular season games, which would relegate the Orioles to a wild-card slot.

The first segment of the postseason — Oct. 3, 4 and 5 — will consist of wild-card round games between the American League’s three wild-card teams and the division champion with the worst record.

If Baltimore tops the AL East, it will bypass this round, as the division champions with the two best records will get byes. It is impossible for the Orioles to have the third-best record of an AL division champion, as the current AL Central leader — the Minnesota Twins — cannot overcome Baltimore’s win-loss percentage in their remaining regular season games.

If the Rays overtake them for the AL East title and the Orioles end up in the wild-card series, the Orioles will retain home-field advantage only if they keep the highest win-loss percentage outside the three division champions.

The American League Division Series — Oct. 7, 8, 10 and possibly 11 and 13 — will be a best-of-five series between two sets based on the results of the wild-card series. The top two division champions from the regular season — which the Orioles have a shot at taking — will play at home for the first, second and fifth games.

During the AL championships — Oct. 15, 16, 18, 19 and possibly 20, 22 and 23 — the team with the higher seed will get home-team advantage for four of the seven possible games. And the World Series, a best-of-seven game series on Oct. 27, 28, 30 and 31 with possible games on Nov. 1, 3 and 4, will be hosted by the team with the better regular-season record.
