When Do You Meet Logan Sandrock

Logan is a central part of My Time at Sandrock’s main story, but you won’t interact with him until dozens of hours in. At first, Logan is an enemy to the people of Sandrock, only changing later on during some major reveals in the game’s plot. After this, you can get to know each other and you can romance Logan like any other NPC. The guide below goes over where to find Logan, how to romance him, and what gifts he likes and loves.

Where to Find Logan¶

For the first act and most of the second act of the game, you won’t be able to find Logan as he is a story-locked character. He is the antagonist of the game who only appears before a disaster in Sandrock. This changes after the mission, The Goat, which you will get to around 30 to 40 hours into playing the game. During this mission, you will be led to Logan’s hideout, and after a battle with Logan and Haru, you will join their crew. At this point, you can go to the edge of the cliff in The Badlands to interact with Logan’s goat, Rambo, and journey down to the hideout. Remember that this will change again after you complete The Battle of Sandrock and Logan is given his sentence by the townsfolk.

At this point, you can find him wandering around the front area of town or at his house across from Mi-an’s place. His only social connection is Andy, and getting close to him will get you close to Logan. Haru isn’t included in the roster of Sandrock characters, as he leaves the town shortly after being cleared of his crimes. Please note that marrying Logan will force Andy to move into your home. Once the monster hunting station is rebuilt, you will also find him there.

How to Romance Logan¶

As you are getting to know Logan through the story, always select the dialogue options with the heart next to them. When Logan gets to town, he should already be at friend status or above. From here, you can chat with him every day, give him gifts, play Critters, and go on Play Dates. Logan doesn’t post builder commissions, but he does have quite a few quests to help you earn more points. Sadly, marrying Logan is a bit more complex as he has quite a few things that he needs to accomplish before he is ready to settle down. If you try to give Logan a Heart Knot early, then he will reject it. A good rule of thumb is if Logan hasn’t unmasked, then you aren’t close to being able to romance him.

Once Logan is done with community service and has moved back into town, and Haru has left, he has a few missions for you to complete. The first mission is The Outpost. In this mission, you have to repair the monster hunting outpost in the Eufaula Desert, which is just a bit north of Gecko Station. To complete the mission, simply make eight Granite Tiles, four Acacia Wood Planks, and Magnesium Aluminum Alloy. Once you are ready, go to the outpost and repair it. Logan will finish setting up and then send you a letter in the mail to visit the location; at this point, you will need to defeat some monsters with him. Logan is still powerful, so he will take most of the enemies out for you.

Cornered Beasts is the next quest that simply has you track down a fake Logan and then defeat a Mega Tunnel Worm. This is a level 50 fight and can be difficult to complete, depending on your current level. One strategy is to shoot the worm from a distance while it focuses on Logan. This does take a bit of time but will ensure that you can complete the quest even at a lower level. If the worm is still proving difficult, then do some leveling and main quests, and then return to this mission when you have better gear.

During the fight, Logan gets injured, and the player will take care of him. This gives you the option for more romantic dialogue to help you grow closer to Logan, and it will take a few days to complete. After this mission, you can give Logan a Heart Knot, which can be purchased at the General Store for 128 Gols. If he accepts, Logan will become your boyfriend, and dating will unlock where you can earn even more Friendship Points.

Once Logan has reached the three heart level or 900 Friendship Points, you can propose to him. To do this, purchase an Engagement Ring from the Mysterious Man on the 20th or 21st of the month for 2,000 Gols. Once you Propose to Logan, he and Andy will move into your house. You will want to make sure you have enough beds to go around, if you don’t, then you will start to lose Friendship Points with the character that doesn’t have a place to sleep.

Best Gifts to Give Logan¶

Logan enjoys weapons and medicine that can help him thrive in a fight. He doesn’t have a ton of dislikes and hates, but some of the items he is unhappy with, like Facial Cream, may catch some players off guard. The table below goes over all the items that Logan likes and loves.

At this point in the game, you should easily be able to access many of the items above. The medicines can be bought from the Fang & X clinic near the Moisture Farm, provided you have unlocked them by participating in the medicine trials. Water is the easiest gift on the list, but it is only worth six Friendship Points. Most of the weapons are worth 19 Friendship Points, with the Titanium grade weapons and above being worth 20 points. In all honesty, you are spoiled for choice on what you can give to Logan.

Along with this, don’t forget to do his quests and speak with him each day. While you will start out with a lot of points, they aren’t enough to get married. By interacting with Logan each day, this can change, but you still may find yourself spending a few months to get enough Friendship Points for marriage if you aren’t going on dates and giving him his most loved items.

Logan Player Gifts¶

Sadly, Logan doesn’t send the player gifts in the mail like the other characters. This is likely due to how the story unfolds, and Logan does not seem to be interested in the mail system. This is made up for by Logan’s two romance missions, but don’t expect to get any rare items from these as they mainly focus on further developing his character.
