When Does 1000 Lb Sisters Come On

Season 4 of 1000-Lb. Sisters saw Tammy Slaton walk down the aisle after a whirlwind romance, but will she be returning alongside sister Amy Slaton for season 5? The Kentucky sisters have faced a lot of challenges since cameras saw them last and fans are curious if the YouTube personalities are returning to document their life for another season of the series.

Is ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Returning For Season 5?

1000 Lb. Sisters officially returns to TLC on December 12, 2023, at 9 p.m.

Season 4 of the TLC series ended on March 21, 2023, and the finale documented Tammy’s November 2022 nuptials to Caleb Willingham. The Slaton sisters previously remained tightlipped about a new season of the series; however, Tammy opened up about why TLC had not announced season 5 in July 2023.

“What people don’t know is, like, Season 4 isn’t over,” Tammy told her fans via TikTok. “My wedding was a two-part thing so it made Season 4 have more episodes, so we have Part B coming out December 12.”

She went on to compare the situation to movies on VHS tapes, noting that it was so long that it had to be separated into two parts.

What Will ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Season 5 Likely Consist For Tammy?

The trailer for season 5 was released on November 13 and while the previous chapter saw Tammy in wedded bliss with her new husband, Caleb, things weren’t going so well for him. He revealed he was beginning to gain weight again while in the rehab and it bothered Tammy that he was “backsliding.”

Meanwhile, Tammy had made strides to lose over 300 pounds and was officially back at home with her family. “I don’t know if he has the strength to do this on his own,” Tammy said later in the clip.

Season 4 of the long-running series saw Tammy not only meet her new love interest but marry him after initially sparking the connection at the Ohio-based weight loss facility.

While Tammy was originally set to leave the rehab facility, her release was delayed due to a serious trachea infection and her stay was ultimately extended. It was during that time she met Caleb, who had been at the facility for nearly a year but had just started to come out of his room due to health issues.

Caleb reportedly planned to move to Kentucky with Tammy and fans believed that season 5 would likely document their new life as newlyweds.

However, fans picked up on clues pointing to a potential split between Tammy and Caleb. In early April 2023, Tammy seemingly changed her name on her TikTok account to her maiden name after previously listing it as Willingham. For his part, a post allegedly made on Caleb’s private Facebook page later that month pointed at trouble.

“If you were here only for my wife, then please delete me now,” Caleb’s post allegedly read. “We are married by paper only right now. Her decision not mine. It was more than that. I’m hurt, mad, confused and alone even with others around.”

The split speculation continued when Tammy was romantically linked to Greg Morgan in May. At the time, The U.S. Sun reported that the pair met on a dating app and had met up a “handful” of times.

In light of the romance rumors, Greg teased the status of their relationship in an exclusive statement to In Touch. “Tune in the next season you might get what you’re waiting for,” he said, seemingly implying that he will appear on season 5.

However, Greg shut down romance rumors in June 2023 when he exclusively told In Touch that he and Tammy were “never together.”

While viewers have been curious about Tammy’s love life, news broke on June 30 that Caleb died at the age of 40. Caleb’s brother shared the tragic news via Facebook saying, “Today GOD called my big brother home.”

“I can’t believe I’m even making this post,” Caleb’s brother wrote. “R.I.P. Caleb Willingham aka Killla K aka Double K aka one half of the dynamic WWF tag team champions The W Boys aka my biggest supporter in anything I do. You will be forever loved and missed. Until we meet again.”

What Will ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Season 5 Likely Consist For Amy?

While season 4 documented Amy’s pregnancy with baby no. 2, Glenn, rumors started swirling in February 2023 that Amy and her husband, Michael Halterman, were headed toward a split. The Sun reported at the time that Amy moved her sons, Gage and Glenn, out of their shared home in Kentucky.

Weeks later, In Touch confirmed that Michael filed for divorce from Amy after nearly four years of marriage. The dad of two filed for dissolution of marriage with children against Amy on March 13, 2023.

Though their marriage is coming to an end, Amy and her estranged husband were spotted outside their divorce hearing with a television crew on May 3, 2023, according to The Sun. After the hearing, Amy, brother Chris Combs and sister Amanda Halterman filmed a scene together. Michael, meanwhile, reportedly avoided the cameras.

Season 5 is set to document the events that led up to their shocking divorce, which included Amy’s struggle to manage the household as a new mother of two.

“I am very overwhelmed, stressed-out, and Michael ain’t doing s—t,” she said in the trailer. “Every aspect of my life is chaotic because I have no support.”

Things are set to implode as a confrontation between Amy, Michael and Amanda is also teased when Amanda confronts Amy’s husband and demands he give Amy back her debit card before she calls the police.

“I ain’t giving her s—t,” he snapped back, prompting Amy to step in. “No, he’s got two seconds to get his s—t and get out of my house,” she yelled back.

What Has the ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Cast Said About Season 5?

Amanda spoke about a potential new season of 1000-Lb. Sisters while answering questions from fans in a TikTok video shared on April 3, 2023.

“Unfortunately, I cannot comment on whether there will be a new season or not,” she said after being asked if there will be a fifth season. “I’ve signed a non-disclosure agreement.”

Despite their silence on the topic, several of the Slaton family members were spotted filming new episodes on the beach in Florida in June.

“1000-Lb. Sisters filming drew quite the crowd!” TikTok user @mamatgar50 captioned a video taken in Pensacola, Florida. “Not gonna lie, at first I got really excited bc I thought it was Mama June, Pumpkin, and Honey Boo Boo. It wasn’t but, the girl from the show looks great! This clearly never happens in my area [sic].”

During the beach day, Amy and Amanda were seen walking on the seashore. Meanwhile, Tammy was “sitting [on the beach] the whole time.”

Unfortunately, their family vacation took a turn for the worst as the trip allegedly ended with a physical fight between Tammy, Amy and Amanda, causing filming to stop. According to a source, the show is now taking a six to eight-week filming hiatus to let the cast members cool off from the incident before they resume shooting season 5 of 1000-Lb. Sisters.

“The film crew was present, but they felt uncomfortable working with them because of the way they were behaving,” a show insider told The U.S. Sun in July 2023. A friend of Tammy’s said the argument escalated into a physical situation where they “really got into it.”
