The initial run of Prime Video’s wildly popular animated series has seen Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) attempting to make amends following the massacre he involuntarily caused as he battled his father, Nolan, aka Omni-Man (JK Simmons), in Chicago.
Voice actor Fred Tatasciore, who voices various characters alongside the star-studded cast, recently teased what’s set to come.

Speaking on the Traversing the Stars YouTube channel, he said: “All I’m gonna say to you is it’s gonna get weirder. It’s just gonna get weirder, and weirder, and weirder, and fun, in a good way. Just in general, it’s a lot of crazy aliens, I’ll say that.”

Speaking at San Diego Comic Con 2023, Robert Kirkman, creator of the original comic, explained the reasoning behind the decision to split season 2 into two halves: “With everything going on in that time of year with, you know, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and a lot of family time, I think a lot of shows get lost in the shuffle there.
“So I think it’s good to take a pause, and narratively it’s going to make things hit a little bit harder. People will know what I’m talking about when the season launches.”
Executive producer Simon Racioppa then gave a bit of a clue about a potential release date, telling Geekcentric: “Those four episodes were hopefully emotionally draining in some places, exciting in others.
“Hopefully, they make you think for the next few weeks or months to just make you reflect on it, so that you don’t just forget it. That’s what I’m hoping people will take back.”
While Invincible’s track record with breaks between new seasons and episodes isn’t amazing, Kirkman said there won’t ever be a gap between seasons as large as the one between seasons 1 and 2.
When asked about how production on season 3 was going, he told Collider: “I can’t say. Far enough along that there won’t be a similar gap between season 2 and season 3.”
He continued: “This is the pain. This area right now is the pain for Invincible fans. So once we’re through this, once season 2 comes out, hopefully, it should be smooth sailing from there on. There won’t be these big, large gaps, theoretically.”
