More than two years after Invincible premiered on Prime Video, Season 2 launched in November 2023. Unfortunately for eager fans, this season is being released in two parts. So after two years of waiting, there is… more waiting. Part 1 of Invincible Season 2 ended with a brutal fight where Mark Grayson/Invincible (Steven Yeun) and his father Nolan/Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) joined hands against ruthless Viltrumites. Once again, Mark was defeated. And the Viltrumites, in addition to capturing Omni-Man, gave Mark an ultimatum: Finish the job that his father did not complete — conquering Earth — or face deadly consequences.

Invincible Season 2 Part 1 also introduced a new villain: Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown), a man able to open portals to other dimensions. He also holds a grudge against Mark after his mission to build a utopia ended in disaster. “We’re trying to use Angstrom Levy and his relationship with Mark — and their impending rematch — to dovetail into this worry [Mark] has of, am I going to follow my father’s footsteps?” Robert Kirkman, who wrote the comic book series that the show adapts, told TV Guide. “We’re using the multiverse in our story to follow the emotional journey of these characters and get a glimpse of what could have been.” It’s safe to assume that Angstrom will be showing up again.

Here’s what we know so far about Invincible Season 2 Part 2.

When is Invincible Season 2 coming back?

Prime Video announced on Jan. 22 that Invincible Season 2 Part 2 is returning on March 14. The second part consists of 4 episodes and will be airing weekly.

TV Guide previously asked about the gap between the two sections of Invincible Season 2. “When you see the episodes, Episode 4 of Season 2 is a very obvious midseason finale, Kirkman told TV Guide. “People are going to need time to recover from that episode.” In the same interview, Kirkman shared that the wait between future seasons of the show is expected to be shorter. “We have lived through the longest period of time there will ever be between a season of Invincible,” he said. “Every other season, however long we go, the wait will be less.”

There is no trailer yet for Invincible Season 2 Part 2. But in case you missed the first part of the series, the video below is a teaser. It launched at Prime Video’s New York Comic Con panel in October 2023. The video showed Mark having an identity crisis following the Season 1 confrontation with Omni-Man. It also introduced new characters, from The Shapesmith to Angstrom Levy.

Steven Yeun returns as Mark Grayson, or Invincible, while J.K. Simmons returns as Nolan, or Omni-Man. Sandra Oh will once again voice the role of Debbie. Other members of the returning cast include:
