There’s basically no time left before the entire world can start heisting all over New York City, as PAYDAY 3 is soon to be released. More specifically, the game’s official launch date is September 21, 2023, but as is the case with many modern live-service games, the truth is a bit more complicated.
Developer Starbreeze announced that certain players will be able to access the game up to three days before the official release, in what they’re calling “Play Early”. Below, you’ll find all of the information you need to know about how to join this early access period, as well as to when exactly the game is releasing around the world.

As mentioned above, the official full release of PAYDAY 3 is on Thursday, September 21, 2023. But as is to be expected, that is highly dependant on what part of the world you live in. The developers shared a launch map that shows at what time the game releases in key regions around the planet, which you’ll find below. But the full list is right here:
- Los Angeles (PDT) – September 21, 8 AM
- New York (EDT) – September 21, 11 AM
- Sao Paolo (BRT) – September 21, 12 PM
- London (BST) – September 21, 4 PM

When does PAYDAY 3 Play Early period starts, and how to get in
If you want to start playing before the full release, then there’s only one way to get into the early access period. Only players who pre-ordered the game’s Silver or Gold editions qualify to join the game before launch. If you already pre-ordered the basic version of the game and want to join the fun early, you can also upgrade your edition, which will immediately grant you access to the title on whatever platform you got the game for.

The Play Early period of PAYDAY 3 is currently already available, having started today, September 18. Below you’ll find a list that specifies at what time it was made available in different regions.
