Where to Find Starly in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Before you can evolve Starly in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you first must find and catch it. Starly can be obtained quite early in the game. If you want a decent starter flying-type Pokemon, head southwest of Mesagoza.

Starly spawns in the following regions of Paldea:
- South Province (Area Two and Area Four)
- West Province (Area Two and Area Three)
- Casseroya Lake
Starly is a common spawn in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and quite an easy catch. It can appear in groups and might even hide away the evolved form, Staravia. Once you locate Starly, you must defeat it in a direct battle to add it to your Pokedex.
This can be easily done by using Electric, Ice, and/or Rock-type Pokemon since this Flying-type Pokemon is weak to these types of attacks.
How to Evolve Starly?
Starly evolution process is fairly easy. All you need to do is level this bird until it reaches Level 14. Once it reaches the level, Starly will evolve into Staravia in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, a slightly powerful Pokemon.

So, just keep Starly in your party and use it in battles for quicker leveling. Moreover, you can use Starly to finish off the battles for an increased XP.
Staravia further evolves into Staraptor when it reaches level 34. This is done through natural progression, and you won’t need to wait for a full moon, feed it some rare candy, or anything else. Straptor is a useful Pokemon for the main story and trainer battles.
