DAYTONA BEACH — A couple of random draws on Tuesday finalized the Wednesday Speedweek schedule at Daytona.
Pole qualifying for the 66th Daytona 500 is slated for 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday night and will air on FS1.

The order of drivers was established on Tuesday with the first 22 spots set by a drawing of drivers that did not finish in the top 20 in NASCAR Cup Series owner’s points in 2023. The last 20 spots were finalized by a draw among drivers and teams that did.

A total of 42 cars are entered into the field for the Great American Race with 40 spots available. Thirty-six of those positions on the starting grid will be filled by teams with full-time charters with six drivers duking it out for the other four. The fastest two of those six will lock into the field on Wednesay with the other two slots being determined on Thursday night in the BlueGreen Vacation Duel at Daytona races.
