The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a global network of members and leadership, which makes broadcast events a regular form of communication and learning.

Twice a year, once in April and then again in October, the church’s general conference enables the worldwide congregation to hear from prophets, apostles and other church leaders.

“The purpose of each event is to provide inspiration and instruction to help individuals and families become closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ,” the church wrote in a press release.

What live events are scheduled for 2024?

• Two worldwide events for youth areplanned in 2024, one on Jan. 28 to introduce the new theme, “I am a disciple of Jesus Christ,” and the other on Oct. 27.
• A worldwide devotional for young adults will take place three times in the upcoming year on Feb. 4., May 5 and Nov. 3.
• RootsTech Family History Conference and Family Discovery Session will span from Feb. 29 to March 2.
• General conference 2024 is scheduled for April 6 and 7 and then Oct. 5 and 6.
• The first presidency’s Christmas devotional for all ages will be shared on Dec. 8.

Where to watch the Church of Jesus Christ’s live broadcasts?

• All broadcasts will show up on the Church of Jesus Christ’s website as they approach. (www.churchofjesuschrist.org/media/broadcasts) On the site, viewers can watch the current broadcast or see past ones.
• The Gospel Media, Gospel Library and Gospel Stream apps will also give viewers access to each broadcast.
