When Is Natsuki Birthday Ddlc

Hi there!

I’ve been working on this for a while now, so here are my last name, birthday and family headcannons for all the DDLC girls!

These are 100% FAN MADE BY ME, though if you wish to incorporate this into your fanfiction or anything like that, feel free! I just though these girls deserved a little more background, and my DDLC loving and writing obsessed brain had to jump right on that!!

So here they are! I tried to incorporate as much symbolism I could, down to each individual name of the family. I didn’t include too much explanation on the family’s names, so good luck figuring them out if you decide to!

(Also, the idea that Monika is Greek-Japanese is not my own! I was browsing fanfiction.net one day and saw it, and it really inspired me!)

Without further ado, here they are! Feedback is much appreciated!

Monika Koide-Nicolaides (the first name is means (ko) “small” and (ide or de) “rising.” I thought it was like how Monika went from a small character and fought her way through until she was the last one standing. The other name is a Greek last name! I thought it blends in with the impression that Monika is very different from the other girls.)

Birthday: November 19th (I always pictured Monika as a very autumnal girl, so I thought she should be November-born!)

Parents: Mom – Asa Koide-Nicolaides: A Japanese bakery worker who married Xander and became rich.

Dad – Xander Nicolaides: A wealthy Greek man who moved to Japan and married Asa. He has a very successful company in the city.

Overall: I always pictured Monika as a rich girl! She lives a stylish and comfortable life in the city with her parents, although her school and friends are a fair drive away. She visits Greece a lot with her family and loves to learn about the history of the country. A lot of her poetic inspiration comes from her time there.

Sayori Aimoto (Ai: “Join, Cooperation” or “Love” and Moto meaning “Origin”. I thought this was a nice reflection of Sayori’s relationship with MC-kun.)

Birthday: April 13th (Sayori seemed like an absolute April baby. It’s a spring month, but it’s also famously rainy, a little bit of a nod to her bittersweet writing style.)

Parents: Mom – Emiko Aimoto: A schoolteacher at a nursery school. Also suffers with depression like her daughter, but a much less severe case of it.

Dad – Hiroto Aimoto: A taxi driver. He loves his family very much, but doesn’t get to see them very often as he works quite late most days.

Little brother, 10 – Kamaye Aimoto: Loves his big sister very much and has big dreams about being an illustrator (because he sees his sister writing all the time, he thinks he’ll be able to work with her and write books together!).

Overall: Sayori’s home life is a very positive and wonderful place, everyone expect her younger brother is aware of her depression and always trying to make things that little bit better for her. She is often huddled on the sofa with snacks and a good film with them. There and in the literature club is where she feels happiest.

Natsuki Gushiken (Means “strong willed” in Japanese. I thought it was like Natsuki’s rather rough exterior! The name is also of Okinawan origin, where I imagine Natsuki’s dad to come from.)

Birthday: August 21st (Well of course Natsuki had to be summer born! It’s right in her name!)

Parents: Mom – Masumi Gushiken: A kind and gentle woman who works as a garden designer. Also loves to sing, and used to write and sing lullabies for Natsuki when she was little. Sadly died in childbirth with Natsuki’s baby sister, who also didn’t make it, when Natsuki was 9.

Dad (bet you all were waiting for this guy) – Noritaka Gushiken: A larger than life and happy-go-lucky bartender who was reduced to an abusive, cruel, shell of a man after the death of his wife.

Overall: Natsuki’s home life was once perfect, but it soon turned dark. Back when it was brighter, Natsuki leaned most of her skills in writing and baking from her mom, and her family went on lots of trips and went to the beach a lot together. Natsuki’s writing is based off the old notes she found of the songs her mother used to sing to her. Simple, but it hits you hard.

Yuri Kuroyanagi (Kuro means “Black” and Yanagi means “Willow”. I thought it was rather like Yuri’s mysterious and dark demeanour.)

Birthday: February 18th (To complete what looks like one girl born in each season, Yuri’s a winter child! Also born close to Valentine’s Day, of course!)

Parents: Mom – Rumi Kuroyanagi: A strict, yet eccentric lawyer, who wishes her daughter to become successful above all.

Mom (yes, Yuri was adopted by lesbians) – Tomoko Kuroyanagi: A laid-back, cheery, yet formal doctor who cares a lot about being good for her family.

Older brother, 22: Ryu Kuroyanagi: Isn’t very close to Yuri as he is very reclusive and moody. Has anger issues and scares Yuri a lot. Now in college studying psychology.

Overall: Yuri’s family puts lots of pressure on her to be successful in life, they are quite strict with her but still love her a lot. Yuri secretly also wishes her relationship with her brother was better, but she blames herself for never really talking to him much as she was shy and quite scared of him.

Thanks for reading!
