When Is Season Three Of Ginny And Georgia Coming Out

Ginny and Georgia spoilers follow.

Good news, peaches! Ginny and Georgia season three is officially happening on Netflix, which is good considering how Georgia’s wedding ended. It would have been criminal to cancel the show at this point, after all.

The renewal comes as no surprise, as the second season debuted at number one in English-speaking Netflix territories and reeled in 180.47 million viewed hours (via Deadline). That’s only a few million shy of the stats racked up by Netflix whales like Bridgerton and Dahmer. It also knocked Wednesday off the top spot, and it takes some kind of juggernaut to do that.

We know you’re raring for the third season, so call up your defence attorney and prepare your alibis as we break down everything you need to know about Ginny and Georgia season three on Netflix.

In May 2023, Netflix confirmed that Ginny and Georgia will return for a third season. But that’s not all: it’s been confirmed that we’ll get a season four, too!

The streaming service took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the exciting news with a video of some of its cast members, who teased lots of “drama” and “love triangles” in the upcoming seasons.

While we normally would have guessed that new episodes of Ginny and Georgia could arrive by early 2024, in the wake of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes last year, which brought Hollywood to a standstill, the wait may be a little longer.

However, we’re sure production on season three will be revving into gear at some point soon, meaning we could anticipate new episodes in late 2024 or early 2025. As always, we’ll let you know when we hear something more concrete.

Ginny and Georgia boasts a pretty large cast, so unless anything changes behind the scenes, fans can expect to see the following performers return to Wellsbury in season three:

• Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller• Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller• Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller• Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker• Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker• Sara Waisglass as Maxine ‘Max’ Baker• Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph• Raymond Ablack as Joe • Mason Temple as Hunter Chen• Katie Douglas as Abby• Chelsea Clark as Norah• Jonathan Potts as Mr Gitten• Sabrina Grdevich as Cynthia Fuller• Colton Gobbo as Jordan• Connor Laidman as Zach• Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller • Rebecca Ablack as Padma• Tyssen Smith as Brodie• Daniel Beirne as Nick• Aaron Ashmore as Gil Timmins

And don’t forget the flashback cast too, led by Nikki Roumel and Kyle Bary as teenage Georgia Miller and teenage Zion Miller, respectively.

By the sounds of it, Mitchell is definitely keen to get stuck into a third season as Zion. Speaking to Digital Spy about his season 3 hopes, he said: “I’d love to see where things go with Simone. I think it’s always fun when you throw Georgia in the mix there, where you have those three together, and have them navigate this new dynamic that they exist in.”

So perhaps we’ll see more of Vinessa Antoine, who plays Simone… which can only mean one thing. More drama. Georgia was able to just about keep a lid on her jealousy, but chances are it won’t stay shut forever.

A lot happened at the end of Ginny and Georgia season two. Like, a lot. So here’s a breakdown of all the major questions that we need to see developed further in season three:

• Will Marcus and Ginny get back together, or will they pretend they’re just friends for a whole season?

• Will Joe and Georgia ever act on their feelings for each other? Or will Joe just keep moping like a big, old softie?

• Will Max start dating Silver? Like, officially? Because we stan.

• Will Simone move in with Zion? Or will Zion continue to pine after Georgia like the rest of Wellsbury?

• Will Hunter stop being so boring ever get over Ginny?

• Will Abby make better choices when it comes to boys? Yes, abs are hot, but so is self-respect!

• Will Nora ever get an actual storyline? Or is the “N” in ‘MANG” silent?

• Will Marcus reveal Georgia’s big secret? Drunk, depressed, hormonal teenagers aren’t exactly the most reliable…

• Will Paul stay with Georgia after her arrest? He says he will as she’s carted off to jail, but that might depend on how long his new wife ends up in prison for.

• Was Nick the one who ratted out Georgia? It sure does seem that way.

• Will Austin end up traumatised like Ginny? Mommie Dearest isn’t exactly the sweet housewife he thought she was.

• Will Georgia stay in prison for long? She’s a fighter, but life has taken a big toll on her, and this could be the last straw…

A day after season two dropped on Netflix, Deadline tried to get some answers to these questions from Ginny & Georgia creator Sarah Lampert.

While season three hadn’t been renewed at this point, Lampart teased that it’s “going to be a wild ride.”

But what will a third season look like? When it comes to who will look after Ginny and Austin moving forward, Lampert suggested that there are “a lot of really great possibilities”.

“If Georgia is being charged with this crime, we have Zion, he’s Ginny’s dad, we have Gill in the picture now,” she said. “I think previous to this, he had no chance at custody because he was a convicted felon but who knows now, and we’ve got Paul, who’s the stepdad.”

“We have so many golden possibilities for storytelling based on how rich these characters are,” added Lampert. “And based on how many surprises we want to throw into season three that I’m being coy about but we do have it planned out.”

And what about Ginny and Marcus? Is that relationship really over for good? Or can we continue to ship “Gincus” or “Marcy” or whatever name works best for you?

In terms of season three, all bets are off,” Lampert told Deadline. “Maybe there are new characters, who knows. We don’t have a season three yet… We have it all planned out, we have some really structured ideas of what we want it to look like.

“But then in the writers’ room, everything always changes, you have so many more brains coming to the table, and you have a better idea.”

And will Georgia’s newly minted hubby Paul stay by her side, or will he run for the hills?

“[There’s] that amazing speech in the dining room where she tells him almost everything — but about [the] murder — and then she ends up getting arrested for a whole different murder. Then we see Paul on the phone, calling his attorney like he doesn’t believe it for one second,” showrunner Debra J Fisher told The Hollywood Reporter.

“For Paul, in the moment, he just married this woman and the police come in to arrest his wife. He doesn’t believe that Georgia is guilty of anything. We will say, in success, Mayor Paul Randolph’s life … the rug is going to get pulled out from under him a little bit.”

As for those final moments of season two, they’ll have a big impact on season three.

“I think it’s so poetic, Lampert told Deadline. “It’s so the tone of the show that Georgia is put into that cop car to ‘Going to the Chapel’ playing in the background so cheery, and it’s heartbreaking. She drives off down the street, the same shot that Ginny and Austin drove off at the end of season one, so it’s definitely a parallel.”

“And I think it’s this idea that the show is going to look really different in season three – if we were to get one – because this was a woman who was a superhero at what she did, and now she’s been caught. It’s almost like Superman got taken down. We’ll see if she can get out of this mess she’s found herself in.”

New footage of Ginny and Georgia season three won’t be available for a while, but thankfully we’ve got a man on the inside who will let us know what Georgia’s up to behind bars. As soon as we know more, you’ll know more.
