Increased Supply for 2024
Starting in January 2024, we will be doubling the amount of the lower dose strengths of Wegovy® available in the U.S. market. This means that more new patients will have the opportunity to initiate treatment. Throughout the rest of the year, we will continue to gradually increase the overall supply. That said, it may still take a couple of weeks for the product to arrive in pharmacies.

Please note that at this time, we do not recommend switching to Saxenda® (liraglutide) injection 3 mg as an alternative treatment. The demand for weight management medications is continuously rising, and we cannot guarantee supply to match this demand.
Dose Strengths and Availability
Wegovy® is available in five different dose strengths. We are currently producing and shipping all dose strengths, including the incremental increase from the first three dose strengths to the fourth (1.7 mg) and fifth (2.4 mg) maintenance dose strengths. The recommended maintenance dose is 2.4 mg, as stated in the Prescribing Information.
