Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Sixteen of Year Five of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, Madam Rakepick explained the usage of Marauder’s Map to you and she told you how important it is to keep it from falling into wrong hands.

Because of that, she took it for safekeeping, but not before you managed to catch a glimpse of Fletcher’s attacker.

You then went to several places the mysterious attacker visited, and you found some shocking clues pointing out that Rakepick was working with Jacob all along.

However, you are uncertain if any of that is true or not, so you’ll have to confront her and see if she’ll be willing to tell you anything.

But first, the lessons. Proceed to the Charms classroom when you are ready.

To unlock the Disillusionment Charm, you need to obtain nine stars from Charms classes. Pick the class duration suitable to your liking and hit Start to begin.

As usual, in most of the Charms classes, there are plenty of bonus progress actions. Focus on doing those to save some energy and speed things up.

Also, complete as many mini-tasks as possible to earn some additional Empathy points.

Return to the classroom once you unlock the lesson.

To learn the Disillusionment Charm, you need to acquire five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is recommended to have full energy prior to starting the lesson.

Other than the passing requirement, there aren’t that many differences between this lesson and the regular classes.

When you earn the fifth star, you’ll need to demonstrate the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to cast the Disillusionment Charm.

Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You’ll earn an additional reward for completing the lesson. You can claim it in the Charms section of your Hogwarts Record.

One down, one to go. Head to the Herbology classroom for the second lesson of the chapter.

To unlock the Ginger Root lesson, you need to earn nine stars from Herbology classes. Pick the class duration you prefer and hit the Start button to begin.

Prioritize actions with bonus progress to save energy.

And use the opportunity to earn some additional Empathy points via mini-tasks.

Head back to the classroom when you obtain all the necessary stars to unlock the lesson.

To complete the Ginger Root lesson, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Like before, avoid starting it with an empty energy bar since all of the stars are required to pass.

After the short introduction, the lesson will begin.

Treat it just like any of the previous lessons and you shouldn’t have any issues completing it.

Once you earn all of the stars, you’ll be tasked with fertilizing your plant.

Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You’ll be able to claim an additional reward in the Herbology section of your Hogwarts Record.

Now that you’re done with the lessons, you can resume the story tasks. Proceed to the Corridor in the West Towers to meet the person you chose near the end of the previous chapter.

The person you chose to meet will be shocked to hear about your recent discovery.

In any case, you’ll need to tell the whole story. You have an hour to complete this task and earn at least one out of five stars in order to pass.

As always, prioritize the bonus progress actions to save energy.

Once you are done, you’ll be tasked with meeting Merula on the Training Grounds.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

Merula will find your plan utterly hilarious. However, after explaining the details to her, she’ll be intrigued.

She’ll want to see your best spell in action first. Trace the wand movement on the screen to cast Confringo.

Shortly after, you’ll get the task to practice with Merula. To complete it, you need to earn five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Merula. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.

When you are done, Merula will be curious to know why you decided to seek her help. You have three response options. If you like Merula, it is recommended to pick the third option. Otherwise, feel free to go with whichever one you prefer.

She’ll then offer to introduce you to one of the best duelers at Hogwarts. Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready to meet that person.

Once you are there, you can check out what some of your friends have to say by tapping on their speech bubbles.

Merula will then introduce you to Diego Caplan, one of the finest duelers at Hogwarts and her personal dueling instructor.

He’ll be very excited to finally meet you. He’ll even throw some compliments your way. You can respond in three different ways. Each choice will lead to the same outcome with some minor dialogue differences.

You’ll talk some more and then you’ll get to duel Diego. The attribute requirements for this duel are fairly low, which should make things significantly easier.

At this point, your attribute levels should be higher than the recommended ones for this duel. Because of that, you can simply go Aggressive or Sneaky on every turn and use Depulso or Flipendo to win the duel.

Once you defeat Diego, he will be amazed by your performance. You have three options to respond with. Once again, this choice won’t affect the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Right after that, Diego will ask if you are seeing someone. There are three options to choose from. If you are currently dating any of the characters, it is somewhat recommended to pick the first option.

Your next task is to confront Rakepick and ask her about Jacob.

Sadly, you’ll have to wait three hours before you can proceed.

Head to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom once the waiting time is over.

Once you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your classmates. Tap on those if you are interested in what they have to say.

Sadly, the class is about to begin, so you will have to wait until it ends before you can confront Madam Rakepick.

To complete the class, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to Ben and Ismelda. Prioritize those if you are looking to save energy.

After the class is dismissed, Madam Rakepick will allow you to ask her a question. You have three options to choose from. Each of these will provide you with a bit of information regarding the subject, but it won’t reveal anything significant.

Rakepick will, however, admit that she never actually met Jacob, so she’s either lying or being framed by someone.

She’ll then suggest that you focus on searching for the next Cursed Vault since there is no time to waste on pointless nonsense.

You’ll then get a choice. You can either walk away, challenge Rakepick, or cast a spell on her. If you trust that she is telling the truth, it is recommended to walk away. Each option will lead to the same outcome, but if you trust Rakepick, you might want to pick the first option.

Regardless of the option you choose, Madam Rakepick will destroy your wand.

Apparently, she did that to teach you a lesson. Thankfully, she’ll lend you a temporary wand until you can replace the one she destroyed.

Shortly after, Chapter 16 of Year 5 will end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience points.
