Adapted from the upcoming graphic novel by Nate Trinrud, Megan Trinrud, and Maria Nguyen, the eight-episode YA series about the restless spirit of a teen girl stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance originally premiered on Paramount+ in March 2023. But the popular supernatural drama has found a whole new audience after debuting on Netflix in November.

Yes! In June 2023, Paramount+ renewed School Spirits for a second season. Since the show is a Paramount+ original that was licensed out to Netflix in the United States, it’s unclear if the second season will be on Netflix.
Paramount most likely licensed the series to Netflix to attract more viewers before the second season eventually debuts on Paramount+. No official release date has been announced, but we expect School Spirits Season 2 to premiere on Paramount+ in 2024, with our best guess being fall or winter 2024.
