Introducing the highly anticipated 2024 Traverse Limited! Due to various circumstances, including the UAW strike, the second-generation Chevrolet Traverse will make its way into the 2024 model year. To avoid confusion with the all-new third-generation 2024 Chevy Traverse, the second-gen will carry the name “2024 Traverse Limited.” Don’t worry, there won’t be any special badging giving it away, and the prices will remain unchanged. This is simply a way to keep the dealer pipeline stocked while we eagerly await the arrival of the new SUV in early 2024.
Changes in the U.S. and Canada
In the United States, the only significant change is the rationalization of the LT trims. Instead of LT Cloth and LT Leather, they will now be simply referred to as LT. Cloth will be the standard equipment, while leather will be offered as an option. Meanwhile, in Canada, trims remain the same, but all-wheel drive is the sole option.

Please note that these prices are for the front-wheel-drive configuration. If you prefer all-wheel drive, expect to pay an additional cost ranging from $1,600 to $3,800, depending on the trim level.

The Excitement Builds for the Third-Generation Traverse
According to GM Authority, pricing details for the third-generation 2024 Traverse have been unveiled. The new model promises significant enhancements and an all-new turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This turbocharged engine generates an impressive 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, surpassing not only the 3.6-liter V6 but also GM’s initial estimates of 315 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque.

Here’s a sneak peek at the reported MSRPs (after destination charges) for the four available trims:
- LS: $38,995 ($3,080 increase)
- LT: $41,395 ($2,955 increase)
- Z71: $47,795 (new addition)
- RS: $55,595 ($9,155 increase)
It’s worth mentioning that the RS trim, the top trim revealed so far, may absorb some of the current Premier and High Country features. But, for a complete picture of what’s happening, we will have to wait for official numbers and information directly from Chevrolet.
