What is the Enzyme peeling?

Enzyme peeling is not just a skin peeling but is a treatment used for all types of skin spots. It’s a method applied using the effects of enzymatic reaction.

How does it work?

The pigment that is responsible for forming pigmentation is called Melanin pigment. The Melanin pigment is synthesized by an enzyme called tyrosinase. By application of Enzyme peel, the production of melanin is blocked which avoids any discoloration in the skin.

What is the difference between a chemical peel and an enzyme peel?

Enzyme Peel is a completely different treatment than chemical peel. Chemical peeling is applied over the upper layer of the skin using various acids.

Therefore, during and after the process it creates a sensation of burning and stinging. But in enzyme peel, exfoliating fruit acids are used instead. they contains substances that block the tyrosinase enzyme. In this way, it doesn’t cause any burning or stinging sensations during the application. The main objective is not just a peeling, but it is also to treat dark spots by blocking the production of the enzymes that cause discoloration.

How is it performed?

The skin is cleaned thoroughly before applying the enzyme peeling. After that it’s applied as a mask. Several applications of the enzyme peeling product over the pre-determined area remove all the undesired spots.

After 4-8 hours – depending on the patient’s skin type – you may wash your face.

After 48 hours, you won’t have any redness and after 1 week all the skin pigmentation will be cleared completely.
