Why Fit In When You Born To Stand Out

We are living in an unpredictable world where a surprising number of people fear being alone, so they are always trying to “fit in.

Although some people go along on this journey called life, they have no idea where they are going and how to fit in. Some people look for ways to make a difference in life while others go through twisting and turning trying to fit in.

Are you among the crowd who are busy trying to fit in or are you one of the most peculiar people who was born to make a difference and stand out?

While a surprising number of people fear to be alone, maybe to some extent a large number of us are trying to “fit in.” If you fear to be without a relationship, or friends and family, you need to “fit in.”

Maybe you are among the people who fear traveling alone to unfamiliar places, feeling lost without anyone being near if so, you desire to “fit in.” These types of fear are in need of fitting in with others.

Although we are governed by the requirements that make us human, which is to be loved, to love and be accepted almost everybody wears this mask. There isn’t one person who does not, and I can say I used to, but it is better to “stand out” and be yourself.

Questions: Are you one of the individuals busy trying to fit in or are you a peculiar person that focuses on making a difference and stand out? Do you focus on being accepted and spend much time as well as energy in life trying to fit in?

If you a peculiar person how will you make a difference in the lives of others? How will you make a positive difference and stand out positively today?

Moreover, if you are one that focuses on being accepted, did you know focusing on fitting in and being accepted will lead to lost identity as well as being a puppet controlled by strings?

President Abraham Lincoln said in one of my favorite quotes, “I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”

Now it is up to us, how we choose to interpret what President Lincoln means in this quote. However, I do not think he meant to focus on trying to “fit in” or be accepted with our physical appearance or by going all out to be extra kind and compassionate toward others.

However, I do believe he meant we should stand out through our character by focusing on how to make a positive difference in the world. We should also stand for what is right and live a life of integrity.

My question, why try to “fit in” a world full of constant change when we were born to stand out? Did you know when something does not blend in, people cannot help but notice it?

When you are a peculiar person you simply just cannot “fit in,” and it is impossible to go completely unnoticed. It is much easier to blend in when you know how to “fit in” but when something stands out it cannot help but draw attention. Sylvia Marina said, “Stop trying to fit in – you were born to stand out.”

The problems one may face with trying to stand out in the world is lonely and criticism. A person who desires to ‘fit in’ may feel like He or She are forlorn, and peers may distance themselves from you because you live your lives against the in-crowd.

This can lead to loneliness until you find your own path free from conformity, you will crave to “fit in.” When you do not desire to fit in with the world, but “stand out,” you will be met with criticism.

However, don’t allow others condemnation to make you believe you are wrong, nor allow them to instill fear in you, don’t be afraid to “stand out.”

We all should stop trying to “fit in” and follow the in-crowd; especially when you were born to stand out as a peculiar person. Peculiar people stand out from most people in the world because they are “different.”

Moreover, in today’s world, those potentials will undoubtedly make you stand out. Nonetheless, we are all born with our own DNA, but just because someone stands out from the rest does not mean he or she should be looked at with a frown.

There is an expression familiar to our society that states never judge a book by its cover, meaning just because something appears different on the outside does not mean it is any less ordinary on the inside.

Peculiar people will experience less heartache if they stop worrying about fitting in and hold a higher standard to start standing out!

God created everybody equally and gave them a choice and free will. We all have an option – We can choose to stand out, or we can make a decision to focus on following the crowd to try to fit in.

We have the opportunity to stand out and be exceptional or make the mistakes most make along the way and spend too much time and energy trying to fit in trying to be seen as “normal.”

However, consider this, if God meant for us all to be the same, he would have created us to look exactly alike, but he gave us different looks, hair, height, color, and beliefs.

Fitting in means to follow the crowd, to be under surveillance, easily influenced by the social media and worldviews, a limitation with a desperate desire to have recognized approval. While peculiar people mean independence, to make a difference, not easily influenced and to stand out for what is right.

Unique people stand out because they go beyond the average, they are amazing, and they are worthy to stand out and be exceptional. They show confidence to stand up for what is right and never be swayed to lower their standards to fit in with the crowd.

Peculiar people are known for leading by examples, and that is what makes others around them want to raise their standards to start aiming to “stand out.”

People who seek to “fit in” are like puppets that are controlled by strings. They lose their identity in a desperate desire to follow the in-crowd. When a person has a desire to “fit in” they crave acceptance.

Nonetheless, if you want to “stand out” as peculiar people, you must leave behind the obsession of fitting in to be accepted. If you do not want to be a puppet restrained by a string and left wondering who is pulling your strings, you have to leave behind the obsession of fitting in.

Believe it or not, it is easy to desire to imitate others around us to be doing what everyone else is exploring. But if you are longing to see a change in the world today than it must begin within you.
