Jackdaw’s Rest is the eighteenth main quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Jackdaw’s Rest Main Mission.

Starting Location: Jackdaw’s Rest
We have now learned the Disarming Charm, Expelliarmus, and are ready to meet with Richard Jackdaw at the Forbidden Forest.
Meet Richard Jackdaw at the Forbidden Forest
Press 
to activate your Charmed Compass. This will reveal a golden wisp trail that you can follow to your destination. Once reached, press to meet and speak with Richard Jackdaw.
Follow Jackdaw through the Forbidden Forest
Follow Jackdaw. On the path you’ll find a floo flame.
Find the Cave Where Richard Jackdaw Died
Continue through the cave tunnels, killing spiders and burning their webs as you go. After the tunnels, continue through the forest to next objective.
If you get lost, press to reveal a golden wisp trail that you can follow to your destination. When you get to a glowing lake, head left and you’ll find Jackdaw’s grave.
Whisper the Password
Approach the basin next to the floo flame and press /

Defeat Ranrok’s Loyalists
You’ll be now ambushed by several Ranrok’s loyalists. Get rid of them and don’t forget to dispel red shields with Damage Spells, such as Incendio or Expelliarmus.
Investigate the Cave Where Richard Jackdaw Died
Now enter Jackdaw’s Tomb.
Find the Missing Pages
Continue down the cave and cast Basic Cast at the three rune switches to unlock the gate and reveal part of a stone bridge.
Continue through the gate, killing spiders and burning their webs as you go. When you get to a split, crouch through the tunnel to reach spider cave with a chest.
Then, leave the cave and continue downhill through the cave until you get to a second split.
Here, head right first and go up the small slope. Here, defeat the spiders, open the chest and then cast and hold Accio on the platform to pull it towards you. Now jump on it and cast and hold Accio again on the other ledge to get carried across. Here, you’ll find yet another chest.
Now return to the split, and this time go to the opposite side where you can find three more rune switches. Use Basic Cast on all three to open a second gate and reveal more of the bridge.
Now go through the gate and crouch under the rock. Almost immediately after the rock, check the right side for a ledge you can climb up. Crouch under and you’ll find a chest on the right for you to open.
After opening the chest, don’t go back but continue along to the right to drop back down and find another platform you can use Accio on. Pull the platform towards by casting and holding Accio and jump on it.
You should now see three hooks: one on your left, one in front of you, one on your right. Pull yourself towards the one on the right to reach an area with a chest, a spider cave, and another chest.
Once you’ve done everything, return to the platform and pull yourself towards the hook in front of you (the left one from before). Here climb up the ledge to find another chest.
And finally, pull yourself towards the hook on your left (the one in front of you from before) to continue down the main path.
Defeat the spiders, grab the chest from the ledge, then continue on down the hill.
Immediately on your left, as if you were to go back up, there’s another chest.
Stand with your back on the hill you just came down from and you’ll notice three large openings, two on the right, one on the left. Enter the first opening on your right and ride the platform using Accio to the different ledges you’ll find in your path for a total of four chests in the area.
Once you’ve opened all chests, drop back down and return to the main room. This time head right (left side from before) to drop down into a watery area with more spiders to defeat.
After defeating the smaller ones, two bigger red ones will appear. Once you’ve defeated all spiders, head under the gate to find a rune switch. The other two are at both sides of the gate. Quickly cast Basic Cast on all of them to reveal the third and final part of the stone bridge. Before crossing it, grab the chest by the rune switch under the gate.
On the other side of the bridge, interact with Jackdaw’s skeleton to collect the missing pages.
Defend Yourself Against the Ancient Defenders
Immediately after interacting with Jackdaw’s skeleton, the armored Pensieve Sentinels on the sides of the room will come alive. After defeating all of the Sentinels, a Pensieve Protector. This enemy type is immune to all spells, but you can make him vulnerable if you disarm him first. So, slot Expelliarmus if needed and then cast it at the Protector. He will drop his sword, leaving him open to standard spells. Do the same on the subsequent two Protectors.
Investigate the Traces of Ancient Magic
Approach the portal and investigate the pool of ancient magic. Then, enter the portal and proceed through the flooded area. Continue on for a cutscene.
Speak to the Portrait
Now approach Percival Rackham’s portrait and talk to him.
After talking to Percival, follow the on-screen Talent Point tutorial. Talent Points are earned every time you increase your Wizarding Level. These can be spent to enhance your spells and increase your combat powers, stealth, and more. Talent Points may only be spent once, so the number of Talents you acquire will be limited.
Exit the Map Chamber
Go upstairs and leave the Map Chamber. Continue up the stairs and you’ll be back at Hogwarts.
This finishes Jackdaw’s Rest in Hogwarts Legacy.
