Throughout The Quarry, you’ll find tarot cards in out-of-the-way places. These 22 cards add some dialogue options between chapters when you speak to the mysterious Eliza. You’ll also be able to get a quick glimpse into the future with the cards.

Prologue tarot cards

There is one tarot card to find in the Prologue, The Fool.

The first tarot card is easy to miss — we missed it twice, in fact. Once their car comes to a stop, Max and Laura will get out. After she retrieves the toolbox, Laura will see a wandering ghost lady and go to check it out. When Max helps her down the slope and she sets off, head left first — away from the camera along the left side of the screen. You’ll spot The Fool card just a couple of steps in. If you pass the Harum Scarum Poster, you’ve gone too far.

Chapter 1: Hackett’s Quarry Forever! tarot cards

There is one tarot card to find in Chapter 1: Temperance.

Shortly after the kids leave camp, Jacob will have to head back into the lodge for the remaining bags. The only way in is through a window on the left side. Exit the library and turn right. Take another right and then a left to find the kitchen. The Temperance tarot card will appear as you walk in. (If you miss it, just leave and reenter.)

Chapter 2: Truth or Dare tarot cards

There is one tarot card to find in Chapter 2: The Hanged Man.

After the group decides to ignore common sense and every horror movie trope ever, party preparations will begin. When Abi and Nick go for a walk to look for firewood, choose to take the Rocky Road. When you reach a fork in the path, stick to the left. You’ll see the Hanged Man tarot card at the top of the cliffs.

Chapter 3: Trouble in Paradise tarot cards

There are two tarot cards in Chapter 3: The Tower and The Star.

Right at the beginning of Chapter 3, you’ll be playing as Abi as she storms into the woods. You’ll get a couple of opportunities to take turns along the path. Pick the left path each time. After Abi hears whispers, keep pushing forward. You’ll eventually spot The Tower tarot card at the top of a tree.

After Abi and Nick’s encounter with a werewolf, the focus will shift back to Jacob. Emma then joins him, and she sends him to look for towels. As soon as you get control of Jacob, take a right toward the canoes. You’ll see The Star tarot card right away.

Chapter 4: Don’t Panic tarot cards

There are two tarot cards in Chapter 4: The Magician and Strength.

A little way into the chapter, when you get control of Emma on the island, turn around immediately and walk to the end of the dock (you’ll also spot someone using the binoculars in the boathouse). The Magician tarot card is on one of the dock’s posts when you reach the very end.

The second tarot card in this chapter is really easy to miss. After Emma’s encounter with the werewolf on the island, the focus will shift back to Abi, Nick, and Ryan. During the cutscene, you’ll see the Strength card on a table leg as the trio enter the lodge. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get this one if you miss it (even immediately exiting to the main menu doesn’t help), so be ready.

Chapter 5: White Noise tarot cards

There are two tarot cards in Chapter 5: The Devil and The Hermit.

You’ll find both of this chapter’s tarot cards playing as Dylan (after Kaitlyn, Abi, and Nick encounter the hunter in the lodge). You’ll find the first on your walk from the lodge toward the radio hut. Near the large tree at the center of the sleeping cabins — the one with the swing and that weird vial — you’ll find The Devil tarot card as you walk between the picnic tables.

The Hermit tarot card location

Just beyond that, you’ll approach the radio hut. Continue past it and around to the left. You’ll find The Hermit tarot card on the back side of the cement block at the base of the antenna.

Chapter 6: Prayers by Night tarot cards

There are two tarot cards in Chapter 6: Justice and The Moon.

You’ll start Chapter 6 playing as Jacob. Follow the raised wooden walkway to the end and then take the stairs back down to ground level. As soon as you step off the stairs, turn left to find the Justice tarot card.

A bit later, after Nick’s super creepy moment and dip in the pool, you’ll be playing as Abi in the poolhouse. While walking around to find something to make Nick more comfortable, head past the sinks and take a left. There are showers along the left side of the room and a locker at the far end. Head into the second shower stall to find The Moon tarot card.

Chapter 7: The Past Behind Us tarot cards

There are two tarot cards to find in Chapter 7: The World and The Chariot.

You’ll find both cards in this chapter during flashback while playing as Laura. When you get control and can walk around the jail cell, head toward the bars. The camera will switch to a view from under the bed where you’ll spot The World tarot card.

Much later, after Laura is forced to watch Max’s transformation and you can explore the entire police station, head out into the main room. Walk into the middle of the four desks and the camera will shift to reveal The Chariot tarot card.

Chapter 8: Belly of the Beast tarot cards

There are four tarot cards to find in Chapter 8: The Lovers, Wheel of Fortune, The Empress, and The Emporer.

Once Laura and Ryan fall into the quarry, follow the metal stairs up until you see a cutscene of a railing falling away. Just past that, you’ll go through a stone hallway. On the other side, watch for a walkway to the left. Step onto it to find The Lovers tarot card.

A bunch more stairs will bring you to a cave-in sign and a boarded up tunnel (and a conversation about Ryan’s love interests). Once Laura rips the board off and you step into the tunnel, you’ll see the Wheel of Fortune tarot card along the wall.

After a brief visit to check on Kaitlyn, Abi, and Dylan (and Emma), you’ll return to Laura and Ryan. Playing as Ryan this time, take an immediate left. As you pass the folding chairs, you’ll see The Empress tarot card.

Back out in the main hallway, walk along the shelves of barrels. Just before you reach the other end, the camera will switch and you’ll spot The Emperor tarot card.

Chapter 9: The Matriarch tarot cards

There are also four tarot cards to find in Chapter 9: Death, The Sun, Judgment, and The Hierophant.

After Laura’s run-in with Constance and Ryan’s run-in with a knife, you’ll follow Ryan down the dumbwaiter. As soon as you’re in control, walk forward toward the bed, and to the right a little. Near the bird cage in the middle of the room, the camera will shift to reveal the Death tarot card. Do this first, though, because if you interact with anything else, you won’t be able to get it.

In the next scene, you’ll be back with Laura. Head upstairs. Take a left at the top (feel free to check out the room opposite the stairs first) and another left at the end of the hall. Cross the walkway and step into the room on your right. As you go through the door and toward the middle of the room, you’ll spot The Sun tarot card.

When you get control of Dylan in the scrapyard, you’ll have to get a second gate open by using the opening in the garage. When you walk through that second gate, take an immediate left. Follow the path through the bus-tunnel and take the stairs up to the top of the shipping containers on the other side. Turn left and walk back the way you came to spot the Judgment tarot card (or Judgement, as the game spells it).

After everything is done at the scrapyard (and our heroes ignore the probably-still-good engine), the focus will shift to Abi in the cellar back at the lodge. As you walk away from the stairs, you’ll spot The Hierophant tarot card.

Chapter 10: Bricks and Mortar tarot cards

There is one final tarot card to find in Chapter 10: The High Priestess.

While you’re playing as Kaitlyn in the lodge, you’ll have some time to explore before preparing for the (final) attack. Head upstairs and take a right to find a bunk room (if you cross the walkway on the second floor and face the ancestral portrait, it’s to the left). Head up to the top floor (attic?) and poke around. The camera will shift to the rafters, and you’ll find the final tarot card, The High Priestess.
