Where Is Myke Towers From

Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, this 26-year-old rapper-singer and composer, first debuted as an artist back in 2016 with his studio album El Final del Principio which peaked at No.12 on Latin Rhythm Albums.

Although he disappeared from the map for a bit, last year he definitely made a come back by collaborating with the likes of artists such as Becky G on Dollar, Estamos arriba ft Bad Bunny and with Colombian boy band Piso 21 on Una Vida Para Recordar.

But it wasn’t until May 2019 when his single La Playa entered the charts at No. 20 in Spain, a hit which would later have a remix version ft Maluma & Farruko en 2020.

Last month he released his second album Easy Money Baby, which has already peaked at No.1 across digital platforms Apple Music and Spotify. The Album which has also secured Platinum, features no collaborating artists. Instead, Towers opted for going solo on all 18 tracks with the exception of Si Se Da ft. Farruko.

In a recent radio interview, Towers revealed Farruko has played a key role in his career, as he has been one of the very few established artists who have reached out to him with a helping hand.

Now with a newborn, who he proudly features on the cover of his most recent album, he admits that his slogan Young Kingz will pretty soon be a thing of the past. As for fatherhood, it has definitely transformed the rising star into a more mature version, which can even be reflected in his latest record work.

When asked what his favorite song on the album was, Parcerita happened to be the answer. And it also seems to be the peoples ultimate favourite so far – yours truly included.

But with the current craze in the interpolation of American music, Towers also had to follow the steps in the latest trend by Sampling his favorite 50 cent song, 21 questions, Girlhas already hit over 20 million views in less than two weeks.

Tu, which he wrote back in 2015, also borrows Manu Chaos famous latin hit Me gustas Tu. And although he is yet to collaborate with many of the top dogs, he looks forward to a featuring (soon) with the King of Bachata, Romeo Santos.

Describing his latest piece of work as the end of a stage/chapter in his career, Towers said some of his best tracks were not even featured in the album, as he is a firm believer of ¨Never put all your eggs in one basket.¨ And although the underground rap scene is what made him, with Easy Money Baby, he proves that he is not only ‘that kid who raps.’
