Where Is Roland Act 2

Looking to find a missing Tiefling wizard? Keep reading to see where to find Rolan in Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is an RPG that was awarded the Game of the Year 2023 award. This game proved that there is still a market for the classic style of RPGs and carefully designing and paying attention to every detail pays off in the end. We can all learn something from Larian Studios. BG3 snagging five or six awards proves that. Each choice in the game has an impact on the game and may have repercussions in the future. If you were rude to someone in the beginning, you may find that some options in the future are denied to you. If you help someone, you may find them alive later in the game, offering further quests or assistance. Today we will tackle the subject of Rolan, a Tiefling wizard, who has gone missing. Read on to see where to find Rolan in Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Where to Find Rolan in Act 2?

First, you will find Rolan in the Last Light Inn, drinking away his sorrows. If you approach him, he’ll tell you that his siblings were taken away by the followers of The Absolute. After the attack on the Last Light Inn (in which you should make sure that he survives), Rolan will take it upon himself to find and rescue his siblings, Lia and Cal, and will leave the safety of the Inn.

He will be in serious danger, so, to find him, head on to the Reithwin Town Tollhouse (the nearest Waypoints are Reithwin Town and Moonrise Towers). Continue eastward of the Tollhouse, until you reach the bridge. Then, head on south (on the western bank of the river) until you reach a wooden bridge of sorts. On the other side, you will find Rolan, in a mortal combat with two Shadows. Of course, you can cross the first bridge to reach the eastern bank and then just proceed southwards, the result is the same.

You should act fast, as the Shadows will be attacking Rolan and if he dies, his storyline is over. You can Misty Step to get to him and remember to use ranged healing spells, like Healing Word to keep him alive.

Once rescued, he will go back to the Last Light Inn, leaving you to find his siblings. Speaking of them, if you somehow rescued Lia and Cal before finding Rolan, they will urge you to find him, starting the Find Rolan in the Shadows quest.

Does Act 1 Have an Impact on Finding Rolan in Act 2?

Yes, it does. In Act One, Rolan is persuading his siblings to leave Druid Grove and go to Baldur’s Gate on their own. You should persuade him to stay, and furthermore, when the Goblins attack, you should keep him alive. Naturally, if he dies here, or if you let the Goblins destroy the Druid Grove, you will not find him in other Acts of the game. So it is imperative that you keep him alive.
