How to Unlock The Duchess Who Disappeared
Talk to Russ Inside Selmie’s Spot
The Duchess Who Disappeared can be unlocked by completing Tulin of the Rito Village then finding Russ in Selmie’s Spot. This Side Quest can also be triggered by talking to Fin, found on the east side of Biron Snowshelf, or by finding Selmie inside the East Biron Snowshelf Cave.

How to Complete The Duchess Who Disappeared 1. Find Selmie 2. Find the Tunnel in East Biron Snowshelf Cave 3. Clear the Rocks 4. Return to Selmie’s Spot
Find Selmie
From Selmie’s Spot, travel west until you reach the slopes east of Biron Snowshelf. You’ll find Fin here in a cliff near the slope. Talk to him to know more about where Selmie probably is.
Find the Tunnel in East Biron Snowshelf Cave
Look down the west side of the cliff and you’ll spot a cave entrance on the other side. Glide down and follow the tunnel of the East Biron Snowshelf Cave and you’ll find Selmie behind a breakable pile of rocks.

Talk to Selmie and she will ask you to help her find a way out.
Clear the Rocks
Selmie won’t be able to climb back up where you entered from so you must find another way out. Clear the rocks on the west wall and talk to Selmie again to let her know she can finally leave.
Return to Selmie’s Spot
Fast travel to Rutafu-um Shrine and return to Selmie’s Spot. Talk to Selmie to receive a Strong Zonaite Shield and complete the quest. This also unlocks shield surfing lessons from Selmie!
