The 2023 Georgia State Fair: ticket discounts, free admission days, and BOGO ride deals
The Georgia State Fair returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway for it’s annual fall run in 2023! And, as always, we’ve got the scoop on how you can save money on admission and rides.
The fair runs from September 29th to October 8th in 2023.

Hours and dates
The fair runs from September 29th to October 8th, 2023.
It has limited hours on weeknights, with extended hours on Friday nights and weekends.
Georgia State Fair hours of operation:
- Monday to Thursday — 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Fridays — 4 to 11 p.m.
- Saturdays — 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sundays — 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Pricing
NOTE: See the available discounts below!
Tickets are only available at the gate — not online. Parking is not included and costs $10. Last year this was cash only, so come prepared.
Regular admission prices:
- Adults (age 13 and older) $10
- Children (age 5 to 12) $5 (On Saturday and Sunday, it goes up to $10 after 4pm)
- Kids 4 and under are FREE
- Seniors (65+) $5
- Active military member with ID $5
Prices for midway rides:
- Regular price for an unlimited rides wristband is $25 per person Monday thru Friday, and $30 on Saturday and Sunday. (See below for some discount options on the wristband!)
- Individual ride tickets are $1.25 each. (Each ride costs anywhere from 3 to 8 tickets.)

You can download a coupon for FREE ADMISSION to the fair on select dates. It must be PRINTED to be valid, and is only good for those days — Monday, October 2nd and Wednesday, October 4th. Download coupon
The Groupon deal
This is a limited time Groupon deal that is already running — and it’s only July! This offer is perfect for anyone who cannot take advantage of a mid-week discount and has to attend the fair on the weekend.
Remember, when you’re looking at the deal options, “adult” means anyone age 13 or older here. (Kids 4 and under are FREE.) Options include:
- Single-day general admission for two adults — $15 (that’s 25% off)
- Single-day general admission for four adults — $28 (that’s 30% off)
- Single-day general admission for six adults — $39 (that’s 35% off)
- Single-day general admission for eight adults — $48 (that’s 40% off)

2-for-1 Tuesday & Thursday rides deal

The senior discount
Seniors age 65+ can enjoy half-price admission to the fair — just $5 at the gate.
The military appreciation discount
Active military personnel can receive a half-price ticket at the gate. A military ID is required, and the discount only applies to the military cardholder. That brings the price down to just $5 admission.
