We get many calls asking where things like cars, computers and furniture can be donated. Below is a list of who takes what in the Washington, DC area. Here is a list for the San Francisco Bay Area. Here is a list for Southern California.

We tell you what each charity accepts, where and whether they will pick up. These charities are listed alphabetically by name in this list.

There is also a list organized by types of items they accept.

Accepts: Hand towels and sheets, cat litter and/or cat food, cat carriers, cat beds, small cardboard boxes (used as litter boxes at adoption fairs), cat toys, stamps, calling cards, gift cards.

Accepts: Toiletries, cleaning supplies, hotel samples, storage containers and storage bins, and office supplies, (copy paper, ink cartridges, etc.). We do not accept TVs, furniture or any stuffed toys.

We accept Monday-Friday, 8am – 9pm, and Saturday/Sundays, 9am – 9pm.

We often need large quantities of food and other supplies, including new items for prizes for special events such as the Annual Walk for the Animals and Casino Night and Silent Auction.
