You will first meet Lae’zel aboard the Nautiloid during the prologue, she is held prisoner by the Mind Flayers just like you. While there, temporarily she will join your party and will play a crucial role in your escape. You must flee with her to truly recruit her later to your party. After the prologue, you will be separated, and you’ll need to find her again on the Roadside Cliffs, situated not far north of the Ravaged Beach, where you’ll land after the ship crash.

Lae’zel Location in Baldur’s Gate 3 & Helpful Tips

To find and recruit Lae’zel in Baldur’s Gate 3 you must complete the following steps:

Find Lae’zel on the Nautiloid during the prologue
Temporarily, she will join your party
Defeat the Mind Flayers in the Nautiloid and you both can escape
You’ll land on a beach, and from there go north to the Roadside Cliffs
Find Her Again on the Ravaged Cliffs
Rescue Lae’zel from the Tieflings, and pass the skill checks to persuade them or kill them.
Release her from her wooden cage.
Invite Lae’zel to join your Party
Now you recruit her and she can join your active party or wait in the camp.

Join Active Party: If there is an available slot in your active party, Lae’zel will immediately become one of your active companions, and you can start adventuring together.
