Where To Get Clay Palia

Want to know how to find and use Clay in Palia? Although Palia is still in open beta testing, many players have plunged into the exploration of a new colorful world. After many gloomy releases like Remnant 2 and Diablo 4, Palia is the island of the calm we’ve been waiting for since Disney Dreamlight Valley. Like any such journey, progression in Palia begins with the collection of materials. Using your first tools to gather Wood and Stone can always be intriguing in a new game. But going to the next stage in Palia, you will have to find and use Clay, and we will help you with this.

To find Clay in Palia, you must go to the coastal areas of the game world and search all the beaches. Clay is a nearshore material, harvestable from larger brown sharp-angled stones. Clay stones are often hidden in grass or the middle of the beach, so finding a few is not hard.

If you are interested in specific locations, then here are some of the best places to farm Clay:

  • The entire coast of Fishermans Lagoon.
  • Coastal area Remembrance Beach (go between the grass and near the bridges).
  • Gillyfin Cove beach area on the west coast.

It is worth noting that you can also find Clay near other bodies of water, such as Whispering Banks. But be aware that Brown Clay Stones spawn at random spots, so you may not get them where you mined previously.

As for mining this material, to get Clay, you will need the Pickaxe that you get at the start of the game from Hodari. Mining one Clay deposit will reward you with 5-6 Clay. So you can accumulate a lot pretty quickly. However, if other players have already mined all the brownstones on the shore, you must wait for them to respawn.

How To Use Clay in Palia

Although Clay is one of the starting materials, you will use it throughout the game. For example, you can use one Clay and one Sundrop Lily to craft 20 Smoke Bombs to catch bugs. Later, once you reach mining level two and make a furnace, you can craft Ceramic Bricks. This material is helpful because, besides tons of decorations for your home, you can use it to create various mechanisms such as Fabric Loom.
