Where To Get Ice Stone Pokemon Scarlet

The Ice Stone is an Evolution Item in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that Trainers must obtain to evolve certain Ice-type species of pocket monsters. Acquiring Ice Stones can be quite tricky since, unlike other evolution stones, this particular item cannot be purchased from Delibird Presents shops or the auction market of Porto Marinada. Instead, these stones are found primarily through exploration, particularly within the frigid Glaseado Mountain region of north Paldea. Trainers will reach this zone during the latter half of their playthrough, so newcomers should not worry about finding Ice Stones until much later in their journey.

One location where Trainers are guaranteed to find an Ice Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the Dalizapa Passage, slightly south of Glaseado Mountain’s snowy areas. If players search the ridges directly north of the Dalizapa Passage Pokécenter, they will find the stone on top of a rocky platform.

Another spot where players can find a guaranteed Ice Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is atop an elevated snowy hill southwest of the Glaseado Mountain Pokécenter. According to Game8, an Ice Stone can be “obtained as a first-time reward for clearing the Blizzard Course of Snow Slope Run.” This particular minigame only becomes accessible once Trainers have defeated the Gym Leader of the Glaseado Gym and cleared the Powder Snow Course. Players can replay these courses as many times as they please, so there is no need to fret if fans fail their first or second attempt.

Finally, Trainers at Eurogamer claim that Ice Stones also spawn as random loot acquired from the sparkly nodes found across Glaseado Mountain in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. As one would expect, the drop rate of getting an evolution item from these nodes is exceptionally low, yet it is possible if players farm enough of them. Once players have acquired three Ice Stones, they can use them to evolve the following pocket monsters:

  • Giving an Ice Stone to Eevee will evolve the Evolution Pokémon into Glaceon.
  • Giving an Ice Stone to Crabrawler will evolve the Boxing Pokémon into Crabominable.
  • Giving an Ice Stone to Cetoddle will evolve the Terra Whale Pokémon into Cetitan.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
