Where To Get Malfeasance Catalyst

In each new season of Destiny 2, players can get new Exotic Weapons with Exotic Armor to dominate in PvPvE. As there are numerous Exotic Weapons, choosing one can be difficult for the raid, invasion, or general questline. One of the best Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2 is Malfeasance which was first introduced in Destiny 2: Forsaken back in 2018. However, the overall potential of the weapon is lower than other great Exotic Weapons like Monte Carlo or Ex Diris but recently, Bungie has added Malfeasance Catalyst in Season of the Deep to give the old Hand Canon some major buffs.

If you are looking to know how you can get your hands on Malfeasance Catalyst, then this guide will help you in getting it.

How to Get Malfeasance Catalyst in Destiny 2

The Malfeasance Catalyst can be obtained by completing the playlist activities which include Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit matches. The drop chance of Malfeasance Catalyst is based on sheer luck during the matches. However, there is a requirement that you need to fulfill in making the Malfeasance Catalyst drop while you partake in the activities, and that is owning the Malfeasance. If you don’t have Malfeasance Exotic Weapon unlocked before you hunt for Catalyst, then you will not be able to get the Catalyst from the matches.

What are the Malfeasance Catalyst Effects

The Malfeasance Catalyst has the following effects on the Malfeasance Exotic Weapon.

  • Adding 20 Range Points to Malfeasance, helping you to take out targets at longer distances.
  • Grant Malfeasance Weapon with Vorpal Weapon perk which increases the exotic weapon damage against bosses, vehicles, and guardians with their super active.

Before you get the effects of the Catalyst, you will have to eliminate 700 enemies in total with the Malfeasance Exotic Weapon. There are several ways to eliminate enemies quickly and it is best that you keep it in your Exotic Weapon slot and use it on every enemy encounter until you have unlocked the full effects of Malfeasance Catalyst.
