If so, you might feel a little intimidated or wonder where and how you might go about printing them for your event. As an invitation designer, I always hope that my clients feel confident that they can print digital invitations themselves from my Etsy shop. Luckily, I have some really great ideas for places for How to Print Digital Invitations from Etsy that I would love to clue you in on.
Saving Your File After You Purchase your Invitation on Etsy
Firstly, you’ll need to download the invitation from Etsy. If you purchased an invitation that I edit for you, I will have provided you with a JPG for you to print. Most of the digital invitations that I create (and many others on Etsy and elsewhere) will come as a standard 5 x 7 JPG file. A JPG file is your typical photo file, just like the photos that are on your phone.
If the Etsy seller provided you with an invitation via a message on Etsy, you can download it by going to a computer. This is very important. You can’t access things on Etsy well if you aren’t on a computer. Visit your messages tab and then find the invitation that the Etsy shop owner shared with you. Click on the photo to make it bigger, which will open a new tab. Then, right click, and saving it to your desktop (or another location).
Alternately, if you purchased an instant download, which is likely an Editable PDF Invitation, you will have instant access to this file. However, you again need to be on a computer to retrieve the invitation. Once you login to Etsy from a computer, visit your purchases and reviews tab. From there, there will be a notification about your purchase and a link to download the file. Where to Print Digital Invitations From Etsy
Now, let’s talk about where to print your invitations that you purchased on Etsy. First, there’s the cheaper option of printing your invitations from home. Alternatively, using a printing service. which I have some recommendations for further down.

As much as I love printing at home, there are times when I recommend using a printing service. Especially when you have a ton to print, or don’t have the time or supplies you need. After a lot of trial and error, I am confident in my recommendations to help you decide the best printer for your Etsy Invitation.
Print Invitations From Etsy With Vistaprint
My first recommendation, if you’re looking to print invitations online for a baby shower, birthday party, retirement party, or any occasion is Vistaprint. I like Vistaprint because they ship super quick and usually have great discount codes on their site! That’s why I would highly recommend Vistaprint for wedding invitations. Additionally, they have RSVP cards (5.5″ x 4″) that can also double as a book card for a baby shower. I really like this option, and honestly, not a lot of other vendors offer this size of a card, surprisingly.
Printing Invitations From Etsy with Shutterfly
The next recommendation I would have for when you print invitations online is Shutterfly. This is similar platform to Vistaprint. I personally think it has just a tad bit better user experience as far as their online uploading is concerned, however, not by much. They have some great pre-designed invitations, or just upload your design, and get it printed and shipped!
And lastly, I’m always looking to save money on my invitations! Therefore, you’ll be happy to know that Shutterfly also has great coupons and deals at different times during the year, as well! You’ll have to compare who is having the best sale at the moment you are reading this.
Print Invitations From Etsy With Prints of Love
Next, have you heard of Prints of Love? They are wonderful! Prints of Love is similar to Vistaprint in that they offer simplicity, affordability, and speedy online printing services. You get high quality, professional printing without wasting your time or sacrificing your budget. They also print addressed envelopes so you don’t have to worry about that part, which I love. Hello, easy! If Prints of Love sounds like your best printer option, you should definitely check them out more.
Another Invitation Printing Service: Canva
Last, but certainly not least is Canva. You may have heard of Canva if you have a small business or work for a company to design social media posts. Or maybe you’ve used them to design newsletters, presentations, and more. However, did you know you can also design and print invitations using the platform? I didn’t either1 But when I found out, I was excited. I feel like Canva is pretty user friendly. That gets me excited about the idea of designing and printing invitations through their site. The only pro tip I have for you on Canva is to NOT use the Canva app on your phone. If you do, you may just faint with exhaustion and frustration. Definitely do your designing from a computer for this particular platform. You won’t regret it.
